It's the JB22.11.03pes3 'MONSTER' is out! thread ;)

You're meant to leave CDMage open when you extract something. Then patch whatever it is and then go back to CDMage and Import the part back to where it was. My guess is you should say "yes" to continue. Can't hurt, can it?

It won´t hurt, but it will freeze probably after the PS2 logo ;). If the Over.AFS doesn´t fit into your image then make a new rip out of your PES-DVD or don´t import the Over.AFS.

Here is were i stand. I already have a fully funcional ripped DVD to CD of PES3. I´m trying to apply the jb 1.12.03anyripkit patch. This is read me file that comes with the patch:
1) Extract your disc’s bin onto your harddrive using cdrwin or if its on your harddrive already after using rip kit- then->
2) Open the bin/cue in cdmage make sure it is mode 2/2353 image if not goto file/save as then save bin/cue as mode 2/2353
3) Extract the file ‘DATA_E.AFS’ onto your harddrive (Right mouse click on ‘DATA_E.AFS’ in cdmage- ‘extract’), keep cdmage open.
4) Using ppfomatic patch the ‘DATA_E.AFS’ (not the bin!) with 1.12.03anyripkit.ppf
5) Import (Right mouse click on ‘DATA_E.AFS’ in cdmage- ‘import’) the now patched ‘DATA_E.AFS’
6) Import the patch file ‘over.afs’
(Right mouse click on ‘over.afs’ in cdmage- ‘import’)
7) Import the patch file SLES_519.12
8) (Right mouse click on ‘SLES_519.12’ in cdmage- ‘import’)
9) Close cdmage- burn disc image-bin/cue with nero or whatever works for you.

Doubts:
1- I use the ripped version of PES3 to extract the we7.bin and we7.cue, right?
2- In step 2, what file i´m i supposed to open with CDmage? The we7.bin is about 775 Mb and we7.cue 77 bytes, right? Wich one?
3- in step 9, what i have to burn is the we7.cue (this is the only file that CDRWIN recognizes), right?
4- I´m on to my 5 burned cd that freezes after the Playstation logo. What am i doing wrong? The last 2 times i didn´t import de file OVER.AFS (because a message comes out saying that the file isnt the same size, that it will be truncated).

Could some one help me please, i´m new to patching and i really would like to get this done. If someone (who have sucessfuly patched the game) could do a step by step guide for patchind from a already ripped PES3 to CD, for me it would be great.

Larsson, Zig, anyone please help me out...

wait wait wait, I´m kinda confused right now, this is for PES and you´re telling me someting about WE7.bin and WE7.cue

1. Don´t understand this, the ripped image IS already pes3.bin and pes3.cue
2. The bin, but if you used jonboyos guide for ripping it should have 721 MB and not more
3. CDRWin also recognizes the bin, I never use the cue ;)
But the normal method is to load the cue into CDRWin, then it finds the bin automatically. The cue contains only some infos about the location of the bin, that´s why the cue is so small
4. Have you scanned the image for errors ?

I give you an advice if you don´t mind, follow my patching guide ;) but don´t forget that you have to patch the Filedata and not the whole image.

When you say filedata , you´re refering to DATA_E.AFS, right?

yes, sorry, my bad, it´s called FILEDATA in WE and data_e.afs in PES ;)
Just follow my instruction but instead applying the patch to the image apply it to the data_e.afs

One thing i dont understand. In my ripped PES3 DVD to CD ( it was not made with JB's guide, dont know who did it) that works just fine, wnhen using CDRWIN to make a image (resulting one PES3.bin and one PES3.cue), the BIN file is exactly 793.902 kb. What am i doing wrong. I´m sorry about all my stupid questions. I know the answer is on the thread, i just can´t find it.

One more stupid question:
- Since i already have a ripped PES3 DVD to CD, do i apply the the patch to the files in the CD, or use CDRWIN to make a image, resulting one PES3.bin and one PES3.cue?

Sorry if i offend anyone with this newbie patcher questions!!!

Please reply.

To be honest mate I´m always glad to help but I don´t understand your problem :(.
Let´s make a little summary, maybe it helps:
1. You make a rip of your DVD (the best guide is our here coz it´s compatible with almost every patch)
2. After the ripping process you ALREADY HAVE a file which is called pes3.bin and pes3.cue, that is your image, no need for CDRWin or something else at this moment
3. Then you extract the data_e.afs from this bin using CDMage and apply the patch to the data_e.afs with ppf-o-matic then import it back to the image
4. Import the SLES and the over.afs into the image if necessary, then scan the image for corrupted sectors
5. Now burn the whole thing with CDRWin or Fireburner or Nero or whatever works for you

Do you have a bin file or not ?! Coz I cannot see a bin although you said to me you have already a ripped version. But if you had a ripped version you had a bin file, I cannot see a bin file anywhere. Rip your DVD again with our guide please otherwise I cannot help you anymore.

I think he is saying, this might be wrong, someone has made him a cd rip of the dvd (ie he has the game on cd/dvd but its not retail)?

I don´t know exactly what he´s speaking about. If he had a rip then he would have a bin file with about 700-800 mb. But I couldn´t see a bin file on the list he posted before.

Thank you Paddyknight and Larsson for your help. I take it that my copy of PES3 is not the retail version, it as no BIN or CUE file. This means i must patch my version as if it was a DVD version of the game (follow this thread patching guide), right? I can assure you that it is a CD, and that it works on my chiped PS2. I´m sorry Larsson for taking your time, i will try to do this once again, and if i cant, leave it and play the unpatched version of the game. Cheers, thanks again for all your help.

i'll just warn you now daemonarch that i tried to patch a ripped dvd version and it all worked on the computer and then did nothing in the ps2. i imagine this'll be the same for you. If its not i'd be interested to hear how you did it.

Ok, maybe it helps: Follow my patching guide BUT don´t let the steps 1+2 out, normally they are only for WE7, but maybe it works for you if you do it with a ripped PES.

Good to read your post xxxneoxxx. Good stuff. So you're playing patched PES3 now? Which patch did you go for?
