would this work onm pro evo 4

I've applied several different patches to WE8:LE, as well as backed up a dozen different PS2 games using this method.

Provided you use a PES patch, it should work fine.

You can quickly test it without downloading a patch, if you want. Create a .cdr of your PES game, and try it out. You'll have a clean backup copy.

I just put in my copy of PES (1.7 GB).

1. Insert PES
2. Open disk utility
At the top you'll have burn and new image icons...etc.,
below that you have your HD system/burner info (2 lines)

Underneath that you get disk info.

3. You want to select the line with the round disk icon -- it's called "disk 1"

4. After you've selected it, hit the New Image icon on top. It asks you to name your disk and select a destination (I choose Desktop).

Also remember to go to Image Format at the bottom and choose "DVD/CD master". When you burn the image you'll get a .cdr file (basically an .iso in the PC world).

That's all -- you're not changing or mounting anything. You're merely burning the image which gives you the .cdr.

At that point, follow the guide to patch with Gumby or just burn the .cdr for a clean backup.

If you're getting the "input/output error" as the .cdr image is being created, that means your disk is scratched, dirty or damaged.

It's happened to me before.

Try cleaning it. If it happens again, you'll need to get your hands on another disk, unfortunately.

Hi guys, I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but just another question:

I got Gumby 50c, I have an ISO image of my PES5 game.
I also downloaded Wemericas latest Olé patch, but its not all in .rar files.
In the patch folder there are all the files ("0_SOUND.AFS", "0_TEXT.AFS", "BOOT.AFS" etc. and 2 more folders: "IOP" and "NTCNFBIN").

Whats is the next step? I tried just zipping the whole folder and renamed it with a .ppf extension, but Gumby didnt recognise it as a ppf file.

Thanks in advance as the help on this forum has been top notch.
