Oh yes.

The game air guitar enthusiasts have been waiting for.

Released last friday over here in the UK, it's become an amazing hit over yonder shores in the US, getting a 9.2 at IGN (link at bottom) and generally being bees-knees to tha mothafucken core.

Also, we get to play with a real god damned geetar.

yay

Now I know what you're thinking "Yeah I just creamed myself and my penis is in geosynchronous orbit, but wont that cost me a thousand english pennies?"

Fear not. It RRP's at about £49.99 but I can save ye £ (Like me) However ye might want to wait until they're in stock or you could just go out to a game store and buy it whatever I'm not your fucking mother, grow some balls for chrissakes.

First off, blahdvd do it for £44.99 (Can be found here http://www.blahdvd.com/Blah/Games_Product.aspx?productid=GAMES-RED14000-3U&Platform=&StuffSection= )

And ye can get a £2 voucher by registering over yonder https://secure.blahdvd.com/Customer.aspx?mode=2

Fill in the code at check out and bingo, however they are now temporarily out of stock as I (believe) I was able to nab the last one. So if you don't mind waiting, meh.

I suppose you could use that voucher for something else, in which case you might want this https://secure.blahdvd.com/Customer...=20b&ref=c50ba657-0410-402c-871a-743d4eb61b91 but you need to buy 3 things totalling at least £30 to get a fiver off.

But WHATEVER I'm waffling.

IGN has everything about Guitar Hero here

Now I have to wait for it to be delivered.

I have a desire to rock.

I am contemplating getting it. Apparently, when you start to play the opening chords to Smoke on the water, goosebumps are included.

too bad, i could really go for guitar lessons

Umm..I don't think you play it like you play a real guitar. You hold a button on the neck instead of pressing down strings on frets. Bit of a difference.

you have to hold one of those coloured buttons down, whilst strumming. no actual strings on the guitar.

I hope that my postman will bring me this box of joy tomorrow.

My loins are in need of some faux-guitar playing

not to be taken seriously
Does it plug in the USB or into the joypad port? If it's the joypad port it won't be backwards compatible with my brand spanking new PS3 I'll be buying this chrimbo!!

Glad it got released over here, there were some concerns it wouldn't get a UK release a few months back.

Good song selection, but I'm always disappointed by the numbers. It's similar with games like 'Amplitude', and 'Singstar'...good games and everything but with 30 or less songs, doesn't keep you going for weeks.

Badger's probably on it right now, I hope he tried Ace Of Spades first.

I don't know, it does a while to get good at each song - and that's when you get round to trying them all. When Singstar Rock arrives this week (pre-ordered baby!) I will have 5 versions. That's 150 songs to choose from in total. Not too bad.

How much has that costed altogether though? £40 for the original singstar, then £20 for each 'expansion' so to speak.

I hope it's just a case of limited space on the disk, so when it comes round to PS3 and the blu-ray disk they'll fit around 100 songs on.

It's a class game. Great to play using the shoulder buttons of a normal pad too. I'm considering getting a guitar but just wondering whether it's worth it for only one game (and possible sequels).

Can't find the game's songs list anywhere so I'll try to put one together.

Unfortunately not.

The posties seem to think that bank holidays and the like apply to them.

Maybe tomorrow, unless them skiving posties don't have to work on the weekend before a bank holiday or whatever.

And Zyg, the game comes with the guitar, unless... Ohoho.
