Arent you a funny little fella? and squall, if we all said that they run like muppets then who'd be rating it so high. its reality. If a player cuts inside whilst running, he slows down!

I read i an article posted on www.games.msn.dk (in danish) where they stated that WE7 crashed on some machines! Has this happen to any of you guys? I really f***ing hope not cause I'm gettin mine tomorrow... Konami has not commented on this matter.. The problem should occur with the following Ps2's : SCPH-10000, SCPH-15000 og SCPH-18000.

My friends has a SCPH 30003 Nov 2000 machine and WE7 works superbly. Dont worry.

Yeah but it was only on SCPH-10000, SCPH-15000 og SCPH-18000 that the problem occured. So if it is a SCPH 30003, then the problem shouldn't occur anyway..

I think mine is a SCPH 15000, but not quite sure (I'm at work so I can't check it..). I could, and hope, be wrong because mine is from around the same time as your friends is..

great review zigalski must of took you ages i have however worked out how to do the flick over the head you have to push the L1 button twice needs a bit of practice but try it also the throw ins are great and you can confuse the cpu by changing the player you are throwing to by pressing L1 and using triangle is great for throws too.

I'll try your L1-twice method for the flick over the head but it works for me by just changing direction.

For what competetition? If its a cup comptetition, its just each team play each other once.

Here's some info I found out tonight, if anyone's interested.

League mode can be played between national OR club teams. Can't play it with a mixture of teams but at least it lets us use clubs now. You can still play everyone once or twice.

Cup Mode still has the Konami Cup where you can play different types of tournament. And this can have up to 16 or 32 human players taking part. But I think that if you want to play the league mode, Round Robin as it is known, you still can only play each team once only. I might be wrong but the half/full season option has been translated so I think this is the case of only playing each team once in Konami Cup league mode.

BTW, I just beat Brazil 7-0 with England in a World Cup Semi-Final on 4*.
5 goals in the first half. Went on to win the cup.

WE7 first impression

Hi everyone,

I've just had my first go with WE7 (using the Chapman_Redhot_2.2 patch). I only quickly browsed around and

played 2 quick exhibition games, but I can already say : WOW !! The visuals and animations are the first visible

vast improvements and once you start playing there seems to be lots of nice touches (animations, crowds, ...

better replays - you can replay every action you like now, neat !!)
I feels different from WE6 (don't know about WE6 FE though, never played it) and - at first maybe a bit

sluggish -, but more realistic then ever ... the ball and play as a whole moves much more freely and fluently.
Dribbling has become very hard ... I guess I'll need some serious practice again ... L2 doesn't seem so usefull

Some star players (Zidane, ...) seem to have specific, impressing moves, which are beautifull to look at, but

luckely for the less talented players among us not always efficient. Hard work, intelligence and stubborness are

being rewarded here ... Zidane got really frustrated :-(

Although I only played for about 40 minutes I already know this will be THE game for my friends and me the

coming months !! If you can get a copy, go for it, you won't be dissapointed, unless you're one of those guys

moaning about fuzzy graphics at replays ;-))

This is football heaven ... and imagine, these Konami blokes were only about 30% happy with their WE6

version ( I read this once in some UK PS2 magazine) !! Maybe now 40% ? ... What will WE10 or 14 be like ...!!
But hey, for the time being WE7 will do nicely, thanks !

Heh, just lost with England on 5* in the 1/8 final against Morocco, 0-1, f******* James own goal with the back of the head when the ball came off the post.
