I know Half-Life isn't the newest of games as it originally came out in 98' on the PC but i got it about 1 month ago on the station and i think it's a better game, storyline is great just wondering whether there's anyone out there who shares my view. I know it is one of the biggest selling games of all time and i've read and seen some stuff about HL2 and they've actually had to invent a new system so the game can run on it. I mean this sounds dead good cause i've been told there's load of unanswered Q's at the end of this one but it doesn't look like it'll be out on the station anytime soon, any thoughts?

Half Life is undoubtedly one of the greatest games of all time. (I own it on the PC BTW) Looking forward to the release of HL2 although as you say it doesn't look like it's coming out for a while yet. :( Especially after reading an article on www.computerandvideogames.com. From the screenshots I've seen on the net and the vids, it's looking good. :)

PS. Can't we all get on with each other?

I didn't have a problem with that mutu but if he thought this thread was vague then why did he find it in himself to reply and try and basically tell me that this is a shit thread and then think he's clever by just puting some shite link if it was that vaugue mutu then don't fuckin reply simple as! and leave it at that you cheeky bastard.

Sorry anyway paul he just pissed me off, i've got Half-Life on the P2 i hadn't actually heard the game untill a couple of months ago but it's a class game just a bit gutted that they've made a system just to run the game but i've seen some screens that are really impressive

I've only had a quick go on Halo at me mates and it wasn't even walking round shooting stuff i was in some mad flying thing which was a bastard to control, good graphic though.

How many diffrent games of HL are there? on the Station version you get a free game called Decay haven't had chance to play cause i'm too engrossed by HL. i went on this site where there was loads of diffrent versions

There are loads of add on's for Half Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift to name a couple. I have Blue Shift, it's good, the story runs along with the one in the original but it's a very short game and didn't take me long to complete. Blue Shift includes an enhancement pack which makes the scientists and guards etc look more realistic, these changes actually affect the original game as well I believe.
Then theres the online game, Counterstrike, which I haven't played although I've heard it's another top notch HL game.

Team fortress is another good one

but there are loads of mods patches and stuff that are real big changes of the game

for instance the games firearms and day of defeat is a HL patch

but theyre nothing like the game itself :)

So are they actually not Half-Life but use like the half-life system or something?

I don't think i'm goin to be playing on it for a while anyway after my order has been confirmed and posted by Play.com :D

the game IS half life theyve just changed the character, map, gun, whatever images and that to make it a new game

and i definately dont belive that ^ - seen as the release has just been officially delayed

the game isnt even finished yet and would be unplayable

it was a statement made by the developers.

it might not be a fully finished version, but its definatly out there.
