Indeed. They implemented it too strongly and nearly ruined the game because of it, think it might have been PES5.

Contrary to belief PES 2009 included handballs, they just happened to occur very rarely, which leads me to believe that PES 2010 is exactly the same. Handballs are still in the game, they will just occur once infrequently - and usually without any comment from the commentators.
