Has anyone ran the PES Demo with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300?

I am considering buying a laptop with this. It is not on the supported chipset list but I was just wondering if it actually works.

I have an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300, and the demo goes greatly. ;)
The trouble is with my widescreen, because among demo settings there is the 1280x800 resolution, but even selected that, the image is stretched horizontally to fit the screen...

hi

they say ati x800 and above are supported ...mine is x800xl and i dont knwo about x300 ..if it s not that much diffrent than my graphic card then you can run it i think ..mayeb u need to make it low details for the game graphics

try the demo first ,,see if u can run it then dont worry ..90% u will get it ok with the full version ..

with bf2 they said fx2500 is not supported but it runs ok ...now with the new graphci card (x800xl) it runs ok but well it s much better and less lagy

thanks

x300 is rather old, I doubt it will be brilliant if it even runs.

It runs with 1024x768 res, high quality, wide cam... and it never slows down... on my Toshiba Satellite.

I said. ;)

Good for you, I'm sure it's wonderful, just like my x850xt ;)

Bought a new Toshiba M50-130 laptop recently - It has the ATI Mobility Radeon X300, and a widescreen display.

The Pes 5 demo works beautifully! All settings can be put on max and the resolution can be set so it looks and works fine on a widescreen display.

This is the first time I've played PES on PC and I was delighted at how much better the graphics are for the game than on PS2, and no slowdown!

Although my notebook ispretty fast (amd 3000+, ati m radeon 9700), I found it more fluid on my workstation, which is only a p4 1.4ghz and a geforce 4ti4400.

Have to admit I have set the notebook's drivers to quality settings, so that probably explains the difference in speed.

But yes, perfectly playable - shouldn't be any problem.

I have a problem, with my X800 XL (Sapphire) PES5 runs in slow motion !! I dont know wha the problem is.. its not frame by frame.. its in slow motion !.
I just wanted to update ya'll.... the speed problem was fixed when I ran the game in compatibility mode (windows 98/ME) however this caused a whole new problem.... disrupted sound !!! .... ARGH !.

I have now purchased the laptop and it works reasonably well. To get it to work at a level I was happy with I had to set the demo at 640 x 480 with medium graphics. It works OK but jerks whenever the hard drive light flashes. It think this is because I do not have enough RAM and data is being loaded off the slower hard drive.

My specification is the following:
Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop
Intel Celeron 1.4GHz
256mb RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X300.

I purchased less RAM due to Dells extortionate prices (£80 for 256mb extra which I can get elseware for £25.) Will purchasing more RAM remove the jerking? Thanks.
