Has PES Give Me An RROD?

I was playing "Become a Legend" with sunderland, got to my fourth training match and then suddenly the game completely crashes. Theres me thinking "oh shit, i've got a dodgy disk that fucks up when you play be a legend" like the problem a lot have been posting on here, anyway i put my disc back in and load up the last save i did and play a training match then it freezes again. I go to turn my x-box on a third time and i have the dreaded RROD (Red Ring Of Death) for the second time.

Is something going on here i wonder?? Probz not, but ffs i look forward to playing the arse out of PES then i go and get this RROD again.

Do you think my disk will be fine and i should be able to play "be a legend" when i get my x-box back in 2-3 weeks?

lol, did EA sports hire you to write that? you're the only person here who has reported getting the RROD from PES.

Nah mate honest to god, i detest FIFA i hate the game and PES truly is the greatest football game of this generation, but why has this happened now of all times!!! :-(

I've had a 360 for a year+ which was used as a glorified DVD player lol.... Anyway, the red ring came on and it was the fan that had died, now its just sitting in the corner... The best thing you can do is go round a friends house who also has a 360 and try the game there. Then hope for the best :)

Depends what has failed in the xbox... Laser might have been damaged therefore damaging the disc... This is the worst case scenario BTW! Hope it doesn't happen.

As I've said, the best thing you can do is find a friend or someone who has a xbox and test it on there's. Then you will know for sure. If the disc is .... then take it back to the shop and put the best act of your life on. :)

this is actually the third person on here who has said about getting RROD soon after getting PES. I replied to someones thread about it a few days ago as i also got it. My 360 was 2 years old and when i put in pro i played 4 games before feeling tired and turning it off, i turned it back on a couple of hours later and in my first game it said that it couldnt read the disc and suggested i clean it- i looked at the disc and it had no scratches (as it was brand new) and put it back in the machine. I turned the system back on and was greeted by the RROD.

I'm fairly sure a disc cant break the system like but it is strange that it has happened to 3 people just on this forum shortly after getting PES2009.

To be fair to PES mind, my XBOX gave me the "disc is unreadable" message roughly once a week for two or three months before i got PES but still, seems strange

Maybe its the settings within PES are too demanding for the "older" xbox 360? I know Microsoft was calling all 360 users to send it back so they could replace the fan. (If I new this before my 360 wouldn't be a pile of shit sitting in the corner now.)

I'm no expert, but I would like to say I know enough about PC's. Meaning, if you buy a new game that is demanding on the PC, like I just got Far Cry 2 today! YAY! Your graphics card may not be able to handle the game and therefore overheating... With the PC you can adjust settings, consoles you can't :(

The thing that makes it different is its PES, not really a game that's graphically demanding like most other top games.

Well i bloody well hope my disk is alright, coz im low on money big time lately. Cheers for the help anyway lads, im just gutted i wont get a chance to lift the Champios League with my beloved liverpool for a few weeks now :-( lol.

Lol, every year they make LFC shit on PES, is it me or is Torres on par with a snails pace (in real life he's electric) i tried to get through the group stages with the reds and failed miserbaly haha. My passion lives on though and i cant wait to stick one over them dirty Mancs in the final haha!

My mate who bought PES has now suddenly got the RROD not long after i got it. This is well weird because loads of people have said theyve got the RROD since buying PES!!

The same thing goes for Fable II. Will probably be the same for Fallout 3 as well. As it hasn't been regonised officially as a problem, then it's likely more of a coincidence.
