Have you guys adjusted to the shooting/crossing system in PES 2011?

I seem to sky most of my shots and I don't feel like I can really pick where the ball goes... it feels random. Also, my crosses are completely screwed up most of the time so I was wondering If I was the only one?
I've had this game for a week now. :realmad:

i had some difficulties in the beginning with passing
but i now 90% control the passes.

about shooting, if im inside the box just a tap on the shoot button gets a nice shoot.
outside the box press a quarter of the shooting gauge.

don't expect every shot to be perfect. it's not in real life.
that realism and that what most of PES fan love in this game,
something that FIFA lacks.

It's true what everyone says about balance affecting your shots. Whenever I sky a shot I always think to myself that I'm stupid for even trying because it was OBVIOUS that shot was going into outer space.

This happens mostly when you're receiving a lot of pressure from opposing players. BUT, there are times when there's no pressure and I have good positioning and a shot goes a little high, but that's when I'm outside the box.

I seem to controll most of my shots and crosses. Still have the occasional cross that just flys over to the other side-line but besides that, I'm getting pretty good at the new system. You just have to learn to play patiently, most of the times a through pass is a better choice than just banging the shooting button and hoping it hits target.

I don't have any problems with my pass. I'm really enjoying it, every good attackin football I built up gave me a smile. The shooting was indeed irritating but clever. I find myself scoring less goals each match and many opportunities were wasted but that's what drive you to score. It's thrilling in some matches where you are very desperate to score but in the last mins, I set back my mind and clamly build up my play and score. I just love that feeling. Skying your shots is something normal in reallife football. Clubs like Arsenal made 20+(>8) shots attempt every match.

And to add to it:

1. Try using L1+circle for early cross/ by-line cross. Or double/triple tap circle to low-cross.
2. Shooting is realistic. Just like above post says, it challenges you. You can never have 99.99% on-target all the time like in PES10. Jut take your time, you'll get the knack of it !
3.Try to use R2+square when one-on-one. This will increase your chances of shooting on-target
;)

If you play FIFA and then cross over to PES, getting the hang of the shooting can be a nightmare, as you can hold down the shoot button for quite some time in FIFA and it'll still stay within the height of the posts - but a tap of the button and the ball flies low and hard.

I prefer the shooting in PES, by far.

with Crossing it's better to try and get near the goal line before putting a cross in especially on default ML teams and remember double tap cross for a near post cross, when i hit cross just once the ball usually goes out for a throw on the other side.

Anyone have any tips on crossing? They are always a bit too wide for my strikers.

Tap the button really lightly and use the stick to angle the cross to land in the center, its not a full proof system but from last week when I could barely do 1 good cross using old pes2010 style ive improved hugely using a more light handed considered approach.

Shooting is tricky as people have said, its a lot more about balance and time on the ball. If your being pressured or making snap shots its really tough to consistenly get the ball on target, and thats a good thing imo, last year was to easy to just slam the ball in from anywhere.
