Ok so... EUROGAMER is leaning towards FIFA10 and IGN says that its leaning towards PES2010 ( and we all know how much higher IGN scored FIFA09 than PES 2009... 8.9 and 7.2 respectively )

Point is...a website that slated pes so bad last year is actually thinking of switching back to it.

I really dont know what people were expecting. Did you guys want a completely new game? I sure didnt.I like pes and want it be the same but of course with upgrades. If you cannot see the difference in that video compared to PES 2009 then you are outright refusing to give PES2010 a chance.

The cards and slider are a HUGE addition. I know FIFA has them as well. But who here can honestly tell me that thos things work in the FIFA game. Konami has pretty much proven to us that it will work with these videos.

Some people need to get a life. So fucking what if PES2010 somehow turns out to be shit? Is it the end of your life? its a damn video game!

As for all those who keep saying how great FIFA is:

1) Dont be an idiot. FIFA 09 is a decent game ( although I expect FIFA10 turn into a GOOD game )
2) Go to a damn FIFA forum ( although most of you FIFA wanna be fans are on here because you dont like FIFA 09 and you are desperately hoping for PES2010 to be THE football game )

2) A member of Eurogamer actually played the 70% codes for both games, played more game of pes and still went with fifa as the better game..........AT THIS STAGE.

3) I thought you swore 360 movement was in pes2010 and that you knew this for a fact, do you still stand by that? lol.

Totally, totally.

I'd love to have the 50% build in my hands to play, and from all I've seen I think it will be a great game. I do however think a lot of people will be dissapointed - those who want it to be a revolution as opposed to an evolution. I think it will be PES through and through but with vast improvements in every area over PES 09. At the very least I am stoked about three things which are nearly all 100% confirmed:

1. Online fixed
2. Great new graphics and mo cap, plus no more 90 degree turn that is unstoppable.
3. New ML

I'm sure I'll be happy with it, but maybe I'm too easy to please...?

me to i already really enjoy pes09 despite its flaws and actually prefer its more measured realistic gameplay, even though its a bit fast and to easy to skin defenders with your fastest players plus the ai which is very unstable and the poor collision detection.Once you spend 9 months playing it though you can see its merits and can do stuff with the ball that was never possible on the ps2 and when you compare it to a live game it does demonstrate that the ps2 versions where a little bit more on the arcadie side and most professionals and people in the industry agree.

I personally think the biggest problem is feel, the ps2 versions just had a better feel to the passing and didnt feel as sluggish and as much of a chore but this is all to do with refinement and the need for more fine tuning not anything else.

konami have got something fundamentallly good already with pes09 that shouldnt be dismissed,it just feels very unfinished and lacking the neccessary refinement that another year would of given them.

hey take it cool man, don't worry about all the negative reactions and expectations.
PES at the moment is the best their is football gaming wise.
for FIFA to catch up to that will take a lot more than just 360 dribbling and improved features and they know that.
still they can only try to distract our attention to all the things their game is lacking and focus on those little things it does have.
KONAMI on the other hand is focusing on those things that it is best known for, making every game u play a unique experience because now team will play the same and no players will feel the same and keeping in mind all the other stuff they are about to implement a 15 minutes match can take everything u need to secure a win because the way the AI or opponent approaches the game will be unpredictable.
that my friend is football after all and if they also have 360 dribbling that would be out of this world because that will make defending that much more challenging because some players will be that much more difficult to defend.
the chances that KONAMI implements the 360 better than FIFA ARE HIGH so if it comes to that i still think KONAMI wins.
FIFA IMPLEMENTING 360 DRIBBLING WITHOUT MAKING THE STATS RELEVANT WILL BE PLAIN STUPID AND WILL UNLEASH A DRIBBLING WAR.
so lets wait it out a few days more and then the info will come together but still the final judgement will be when it's in your ps3.
when it comes to that KONAMI hasn't failed me yet when comparing it too FIFA.

I'm not really interested in '360' movements, I'm not and I find it unnecessary -but- something I do NOT want is another d-pad game. Make it 16 directional, or 32 directional... give us the option of weighting the pass, etc, etc.

The excessive COM Assistance is a huge limitation with PES, and it's mainly because the game is based on the d-pad... therefore the COM will improvise quite consistently. It's all pretty straight forward to be honest.

As for the Sliders and Cards, I know it will be a great feature... I was actually one of the 'few' fans who suggested that type of improvement. But it still isn't good enough for me, I have higher expectations.

As for "Motion Capture" - is this something that will add something really significant to the core gameplay?? Or is it only a visual improvement?

Take FIFA09 for example, great Motion Capture, great animations... but very one-dimensional gameplay. Most of the "pretty" animations have little to no effect on the core gameplay.

So considering this, I'm not that exited about New Animations... if anything, it is necessary. But still, New Animations, the Sliders and the Cards, and the improved graphics - it's not good enough for me.

I would buy it, but I wouldn't be looking forwards to it... if you know what I mean.

Konami: "The player will also be able to move several players at once into any opening, resulting in a need for more strategic thinking"

That sounds like a great addition, and yet Konami have not elaborated on it. Hopefully they will.

i feel the same i use the analog stick and want either 16-way or 32-way movement and passing its what pes so badly needs otherwise its just the same pes however refined.

More axis of movement is probably the most important factor in pes2010 success as it will give the game a vital missing layer to the gameplay.

(The reason ill still consider your points is because I dont want some people on here who are not as informed to be swayed by an idiot like you, who obviously hates FIFA so much that he comes on a PES forum and gives suggestions on how to make PES better so that he doesnt have to play FIFA)

1) Yeh, considering. If a 70% build has them considering than I m sure the 100% will have them converted ( but idk, neither game is out )

2) I did mention that...he implied that as of now, hes LEANING towards FIFA. He didnt come out and say 'Yeah, I played both games and FIFA is better'.

3) Just wait for official announcement and you will see.

For real man. Dont quote me or anything. You are stubborn and you want attention. It's very obvious.

Bye.

Have to disagree with weighing the passes. They weigh them in FIFA and that game has no individuality. I think the pass should depend on how well the PLAYER points with the analog and the passer himself. That way I wont be able to make the same pass with SNEIJDER like I could with XAVI.

Maybe the weighing would work well for the THROUGH BALL. Idk.

To me the cards are a HUGE addition. It will add so much to the game. I like that they dont enhance the players abilities instead they just recreated a players tendencies. Dani alves, great example. Say you are winning 2-0 and its the 70th minute.

You could turn off the OVERLAP card for always and the set the sliders to defensive. See how simple yet deep it is?

Or it could be vice versa. You are losing 2-0. Set sliders to offensive and turn on OVERLAP card and other cards that change a players mentality to be more offensive minded.

I see the potential. People are just not looking into it. They want a REVOLUTION. Its not coming guys. However, PES is coming.

btw-- I agree with you about the animations. They will not change the core of the game.

i really hope so bud in relation to 360 movement and pes2010 having it because if not at gamescom pes2010 is going to look pretty dated in comparison to fifa10 and konami are going to look like the emperor with no clothes with 8-axis 1980s d-pad control.

this is why-

360 dribbling

Those of you experienced with FIFA 09, are fully aware that the players could only move in 8 directions. This actually restricted movement to Up, Down, Left, Right and the Diagonals in between, and for those who noticed it, it made for a somewhat frustrating and unrealistic experience. With 360 Dribbling you now have the freedom to move using all 360 angles, which gives you the freedom to move anywhere you want. This is the first time this is being offered in any football game and means that you will have a much smoother and fluid experience. With the right amount of practice you will be able to dribbling around players like never before. Dribbling is not the only benefit you will get from 360 Dribbling, it now makes passing much more realistic and controllable. Basically you will find yourself making passes not possible before simply because you can now point to anyone on the pitch.

360 Defensive Movement

Like 360 Dribbling, the 360 Defensive Movement allows all off the ball players the freedom to move and defend using 360 awareness. This makes for more accurate slide tackles (being able to pick the exact angle of the challenges), more shoulder to shoulder defending (subtle movements allow you to press against shoulders more easily), and ability to chase and close down opponents.

Whatever people say PES2010 needs this plus a switch to full analog control the d-pads got to go.

ALTHOUGH ea are full of shit as konamis perfect striker on the n64 had all this back in 1996.

I am tired of telling people that it will be in the game.

360 is DEFINITELY in.

btw-- I read on some other forum ( wenb ) Adam said that we should have many MORE stadiums in this addition.

You going to add to that die hard pes fan?

It wont intrest most of you but for a amatuer team its a pretty big signing.

Northern Ireland footballer Keith Gillespie has joined my team Glentoran and is going to paraded at Tuesday nights big match against Linfield.

Btw the matches are usually big physical matches if any of you like that type of match, not much for football, but for pride, passion, belief its a cracker.

Tuesday night Sky Sports check it out please. I would be intrested to know if you would want those teams added to the game, so please watch it.
