Headers!

Hey guys Im new to the forum so sorry if this topic has been done already but I need help with headers on PES5, I always seem to head the ball over the bar, has any1 got any tips on how to keep them down?

Im liverpool and Crouch wins so many headers but I always put them over.

try making you'r cross more direct by tapping doboul circle the more power of the cross the harder and more acurate the header.

Not many people do, but manual pass as a whole, is a wonderful move if performed properly. If mastered, you would be a quality and unique PES player.

As for headers, try tapping the shoot button once when headering, instead of bashing at the button until he headers it. Works better. And direct your header with the D-pad.

As my two previous forum fellows have mentioned, not sure that it's the technique, more to do with the lanky fella upfront! He's surely better with his back towards goal? Ha ha

In all seriousness, with every technique on PES it's all about the timing, look to see the position of the attacker before crossing, predict the run, play the appropriate ball in and then caress the button at the right time and Wham-Bam-thank-you-man 1-0!

Another suggestion is to press R2 aswell as Circle when you cross, this will give it more of an accurate ball into the box. Im not suggesting that all your headers will go in but it does work 3/5 times.

Use R2 to position the striker, or whoever is going for the head, a little bit behind the ball... more often than not He'll head it on a straight line or downward even... if that still works in pes5.

I concur. Thats all I use really (I have it set up to where O does the power meter for the cross). If I dont have an open option near the 6 yd box I can always dump up near the 18 for a volley or trap and shoot attempt. But yeah manual passing with the R3 is quite difficult to master seeing as how you really dont know exactly where your aiming it... unkess your really freekin good... too good... nerdy good... shut in the house all day good... I was too good at World of Warcraft so I quit that and started this good...
