Heading pro 4

Is it even possible to score with a header in pro evo 4? I ve played the game for a few days now and I managed to score about 2 times with a header  It used to be a good strategy in pro evo 3 to have a cross coming in from the wing and head it in. Why have they made it so difficult now?? Anybody has any tips which make it easier to score with a header?? Thanks alot.

Well its all about good timing I guess...When there is a cross (double :circle: works best) i press :square: right before the ball is near his head...I don't always scorebut I score 1 on 5.

Hope this is helpfull to you

I don't really find headers that hard. I've scored plenty already and several on ML where the players are awful at heading.

I'm trying to get a goal uploaded whre I scored an 18m header on 6*.

I've noticed that all my headers all go sky high over the bar. Do you have to press SQUARE only once and at the right time to get a header on target?

I beg your pardon?

Oh sorry, that was you, in the same paragraph. Way to answer your own question!

if you push the r2n button and back just before the ball connects with your head and then push square you should score more offten than not. There are other topics that tell you about it in greater detail.

lol, err anyway

headers arn't to hard to score from, i just put in a cross with :circle: x2 and then tap :square: when its in the air, score alot.

But the quality of the players heading and jumping stats are a big factor as well as the quality of the cross (speed and direction)

I've found in the new game it's more about where and when you deliver the cross.

If you using a player like Ashley Cole or Becks it's easy if you play the ball whipped between the defense and keeper. If the defense are ahead of your forwards to the goal line, you'll rarely score as they can make clearing headers.

There are limits.
The line between newbie and idiot is a thin one.

Obviously you are the idiot here!!! You don t even understand that its about the difference in scoring with a header in pes 3 and 4! In pes 3 i would score almost every game with a header and now only 2 times in a few days. That's the point u moron!!

the reason it goes high is: your player is too tall  most goals i score from headers are from short players, try trezeguet and anelka and they'll go way over the bar

Disregarding the bad air in this thread...

I do find it harder to score on headers in PES4, also noting what Gedo ^^^ said most of the headers tend to go over the bar. Is there a thread discussing crosses in PES4? Is there any difference?

one :circle: high cross
two times mid air
three times low cross
i think that the most effective one is the double tap, but umm you'll need your player to be running from behind that's the most effective way also try not to cross too close to the goal kick line but before it by a decent distance, low crosses will help you from wide range and with a lot of players in the box

you also have to let the ball get as low as possible by waiting till the last instant before you press square, but even then its quite hard.
