Help - gamepad ps2 usb converter etc

Hi folks,

quick question here - having thought I'd solved my gamepad problems by picking up a Logitech Dual Action gp, I find tonight that it's very messed up, and after much research on Logitech forums it seems many people have the same problems with the gamepad, likely due to a basic hardware/manufacturing error. Logitech have nothing to say, of course. So, my question is as follows:

All set to go out tomorrow to pick up a PS2 USB converter and an offical PS2 gamepad. Can folks chip in here with feeback and experience re: the liklihood of this setup working with PES3 on PC as well as other games such as EA's NHL 04, Madden 04, etc etc. Any info much appreciated in terms of advising the best kind of adapter to buy and any other info that might be useful.

regards, and hopeful,
9.

They do work great I own one :)! You may have some issues with 2 joypads connected if you get the same one I have got which is a HKS EMS PS2 Adapter....

Thanks for the info and links, guys. Off to buy one this afternoon but one question remains - am I best going with an official Sony pad such as the Dual Shock 2 (problems created by the rumble feature with pc games?) or is there a better alternative?

I for sure stuck with official sony pads... I think they rule and they last ages in comparison to crappy alternatives.... If you update the drivers for the usb converters the dual shock does work with most games that support it...
