Hi everyone,

This is my first post, hopefully someone can help me. I've been reading through trying to work out how to get things to work and am struggling.

I don't have internet through my ps3 and so got a mate to put the pes 2009 patch 1.40 on a usb stick for me, but I don't know how to install it onto my PC. I've downloaded von option file which looks very very impressive, but because my version of the game is the box version, by copying all the files in the option file over, I've lost all my edited data (North London are back!)... I have two questions...

1) Is it possible to get the patch working on a PS3 without having an internet connection through the PS3? I would find it amazing if I can't, I mean I've bought every PES since 3, and it would be nice to have the benefit of all these updates for a game I paid full price for, without having to fork out on a broadband connection at home as well.

2) If the answer to 1 is no, then are there any good option files available still that are compatible with the box version (1.0?) of PES 2009 on PS3? I'd love to at least have the English and Spanish kits right, even if I don't get the benefit of the latest transfers.

Here's hoping for your help in advance! Thanks guys.

we'll download my option file and then get the 1.4 update and that should work . hope this helps

Pesmaster1,

Thanks for your reply.

I may have confused everyone with my question: To simplify.

1)Where can I get the ps3 patch 1.4 by using my PC to download (as I don't have an internet connection through my PS3). I.e I can download through a PC at a mates place and put on a USB but CANNOT download through my PS3 as no internet access at home.

2)If I can source a patch 1.4 (PS3) and get it onto a USB, how do I go about installing it, I've tried putting the .IMG file into a PS3 folder, or the same folder as a photo, or the same folder as saved game data (as in Van option file) but cannot see the image and the PS3 doesn't automatically update my game.

3) If I CANNOT get the patch onto my PS3 using a USB, then does anyone have any links to an option file for PES 2009 PS3 boxed version (1.0 I assume)?

Cheers,

Owen

I am having a similar problem. I would desperately like to update to 1.4 (cant play online without it). I have an internet connection but when I try to update, the screen just goes black and nothing happens (i've left it like this for hours and no change).

Is there a way to update via usb?

I know someone who is having the exact same problem and I'm sure there are others.
