help on corners

What i usually do is aim or the guy standing on the near post. I hit the ball about half way up the power meter. Then i use R2 to move the player towards the path of the ball and usually he connects with it. I very rarely score a corner that isn't with the guy on the near post.

OK, but only after you teach a real football team how to do the same thing first.

It's all about the positioning of the players in the box.

What I do is...

-Put the power to 3/4 full.
-Hold ^ and < together (diagonal up and left) to curl it on a Left Corner, or ^ and > on a Right Corner.
-Now usually if you just did this, the ball would go over everyone as 3/4 power is too much, but no...(gasps)..
-As the player is running up to kick it, do a full circle on the right analogue stick (anti-clockwise to curl left, clockwise to curl right), holding it down when you get to the bottom of the rotation.
-The corner should be powerful, curling and dangerous. Usually if you did less on power bar and pressed up etc, the corner would be powerful but not high enough.
-If you pressed left or right for a bit of curl, the corner would be too 'floaty' and you wouldn't be able to get enough power on a header. After learning this method though I have scored countless amounts of goals.

Another tip is to take the corner quickly as often you will see that your players are waiting, but the defenders are still tracking back and so if you whip it in early there will be no-one there to stop your attacker nodding it home.

Hope you understood this method. Try it in training first and practice it, before you go and fuck up your corners in a match.

power bar half way hold up and aim near post or look for players outside the 18yrd box drive a cross into them and go for a volley hard to do but looks great when done.

The near post corners doesn't work when you play against your friends and they know to quickly position a player in the near post for every corner. Its rare score at near post when they do that.

Press right or left a touch away from the keeper and fill the bar 1/4 of the way. Then keep hitting square.

Holding up doesn't have that great success rate, although anything is better than holding nothing at all.

If you want more success, power bar 1/2, curve it into your forwards, and then press :triangle:. It's like holding :R1: on pes4, slightly harder than normal, but not as hard as holding up and far more accurate. You can also hold :R2: for a high ball which works quite well, but stick with :triangle:. If you have someone tall and strong with a decent header like Van Nistelrooy, you'll convert about 40-60% depending on the opposition.

If you want 75% lol, then try buying all forwards 6 ft+ with 90+ heading accuracy, with positioning abilities. Dunno if u can find that many but good luck.
