I would stick with the "original" 4-3-3 using drogba as target man (crespo is crap). put robben/duff on your left and use cole as your right winger, while lampard push up behind drogba in the middle. deadly!

you should be able to get some good crosses in from the edges - try early crosses if you can - don't insist on getting to the line every time..

if you're up for it, try experimenting a bit with the strategy settings.. you can e.g. go for the occasional 3-4-3 by pushing up one sideback and turn him into a smf or cmf (essien, wright-phillips maybe? though I believe essien is a great dmf).. or if you really need that goal try the mean 3-3-4 by placing an extra amf or cf (crespo?)..

EDIT: just be aware that the 4-3-3 can give a slight headache if you play against very heavy midfield - like - 4-5-1.. in that case I would use a setup like 3-2-3-2 playing 2 dmfs and widening your midfield..
works -

One tip if you use the 4-3-3 is to play Robben as a support striker, move him in towards the centre back, and the side back will go up the field a lot more, leaving that flank open. Give Robben an attacking arrow in the direction of the gap, and you'll force your opponent to change his tactics in order to compensate else you'll get a ridiculous number of chances by playing through balls into that space and dragging the centre-back that's marking Robben away from the centre letting Drogba or Crespo have more space in the box and really opening up the gap for Lampard and his edge of the area efforts.

Great, the way you back up your hypothesis was amazing, how do you do it?

no problem - I just found crespo doesn't work for me.. and to my best objectivity he's just not very good - he's got no pace, can't control the ball and may other things that I won't bore you with.. not that drogba is perfect, but between the two, I definitely prefer drogba.. however, I respect your choice..

oh.. and - yeah! - playing robben as a spike from the back is very effective.. I find him scoring quite a few goals from there..
