Alright m8....

loads of people have problems getting damn pathetic poxy PES5 on the PC to run smooth, from people with low end boilers to high spec flying machines.

1st thing, my mate has It running smoothly on his PC.....but when he plays it on his 37" TFT TV, you do get a slight "trailing effect" such as when the ball is punted upfield on "WIDE" view. This is due to the 8ms response time.

However, if you mean the game runs rough and jagged generally despite having a PC that should by all rights piss PES5 out no bother at all, then heren is my little tips for you.

tip number one. ensure that your windows desktop is set to 60Hz refresh rate. PES5 can only run at 60Hz, and unlike other games that give you options or automatically change the refresh rate to what is required, PES5 just takes Windows refresh as game refresh!

tip number two. Can you believe that If I try to play this game on anything other than maxed out quality and resolution, it runs total crap all juttering and jagged. What I personally have to do to get the game on is to load up with medium quality and resolution settings (game will just crash otherwise), and then set to high when in the game. Perhaps you might try messing around with resolutions (bearing in mind that unlike other PC games, lower dont mean smoother performance)

The PC version is not worthy of purchase! it is no more than an absolute direct port from the PS2 with absolutely no work done at all to improve its robustness or efficiency. It is about the worst packaged software product for the PC that I an think of. I wish to hell I just got a pirate copy instead of buying it.

look im sorry but the pc version of pes5 works fine for me.:
p4 2.6ghz
70g hd
1.25mb ram
radeon x700 256mb card

and i might add is alot better than the console versions for graphics, updating and sharing replays, played the xbox version the other day and i wasnt impressed at all. felt a bit too arcadey to me. so if you want to slag off the pc game please do it in the console section.

Not slaggin off the actual game, i am slagging off the actual software package. bug ridden, inefficient, unstable and wonky.

Basically, the game runs exactly like it would on the PS2 if the PS2 had a bit more processing power. i prefer the actual game on the PC cos the gfx are much crisper, the game runs much smoother, and the players seem much more responsive thanks to the animations being complete. but the amount of people who have had troubles getting this arsehole to work properly (including myself and yes, I have a very decent PC) is just ridiculous. But when you turn to Konami, where is the support? Where are the patches to fix all those stupid bugs?

In general, not very much effort has been made in the PC version and I would recommend to anyone not to buy the orignal and just get a bootleg version as that is all it deserves.

If Konami cant be arsed to produce a proper product, then they dont deserve for people to buy it.

If People Were To Take Your Advice M8 Then There Wouldnt Be Anymore Versions Of Pes To Play, Im Sure Konami Know About The Certain Glitches In This Game On The Pc And No Doubt Will Be On The Case. May I Suggest You Make A Football Game For The Pc And See How You Go On. If You Dont Choose To Do This Then You Can Only Wait Untill The Good People Of Konami Sort It.
This Game No Matter On What Format Is Pound For Pound The Best Football Simulation Around, Even The Football Purists Love It.
Considering We Are Now On The Fifth Installment Leads Me To Believe They Are Doing Something Right!
