Wow. Im really struggling.

Play on Top Player, its more fun when its harder. I have 2 BAL characters first is plays CF. Scored 2 goals in 2 seasons :fplm: Second is AM Into second season, struggling to maintain my position on the bench. How are all you guys doing soo well?

Yeah, I feel your pain, I really do. I started as a CF and was getting bored of it after about 8 training matches purely because the team I was with (West Brom) could never get the ball up the right end of the pitch. I just started a new game as an AMF and I have to say I'm loving it so far. I signed my first contract with OGC Nice and I've just got past the first transfer window, we're currently sitting solidly in 4th position in the League. After around 8 weeks in the first season I was making the bench, but only recently have I made the first team (30 weeks). Going okay so far, won 2 MOTM awards so far in my career and I've scored 1 goal, I'm focusing a lot on my "kicking" strengths as for an AMF they're very poor (short pass accuracy = 66 etc.)

PS: I'm on Top Player too of course.

Ahh nice mate. Yeh, Ive deleted my CF BAL player cos its far more fun as AMF but i get played at CMF mostly. Got really fooked off with West Brom cos they couldnt get the ball up the pitch. But atm im playing as a AMF/CMF with Bolton, and enjoying it cos you get to start chances and build them up :)

Going alright at the moment. My position is SS, but I play as a CF for most of the games.

I joined Sunderland first, after about 7 training games I made the bench. Scored on my home debut. Went on a drought for a while and started playing poorly. The team couldn't win games, I couldn't score goals or even get enough touches to create anything. I got an offer in January to go to West Ham or Middlesbrough; I picked West Ham.

I took longer to get onto the bench at West Ham, but when I did we were 2-0 up, with one of my strike rivals Bellamy getting both goals. I came off the bench and scored a header from the corner.

Had the odd start here and there, but didn't really impress when given the chance. Came on in the second half of the second leg of the cup semi final against Liverpool. Played well, scored my penalty in the shoot out, we went on to win the shoot out and I picked up man of the match.

Didn't start in the Cup Final, but came on around 60 minutes, replacing the scorer Carlton Cole. Ended 1-0. My first trophy with a club in my first season :smug:

Came on at half time in the penultimate game of the season against Portsmouth. We were losing 1-0. I won a penalty, which some jabroni scored. In stoppage time, I dribbled past 3 players before shooting past David James. Got a 8.0 rating.

Started the last game against Sunderland my former club; first hat-trick arrived.

Stayed with West Ham in the summer, after having five other offers. Started first game of the season; scored the winner and our first goal of the season. Didn't score in 2 games before United came to visit. It was 2-2 in the 70th minute. We had the attack and then there was a lucky break as a deflection saw me through on goal, I took the sho first time and Edwin had no chance. 5 minutes later, I put us 4-2 up.

Had a good scoring run after, was joint top scorer. My happiest moment was scoring both goals in the 2-0 away win at Chelsea. Chelsea is the club where I want to end up at, so to do the business against them was cool.

Our season has turned shit after this, and we haven't won in about 7 games. I've stopped scoring, we are knocked out of the cup, losing out to Arsenal on away goals, (1-1, I was our goal scorer) and that's about where I am upto. Two more games before the winter break.

My stats are still pretty shit, but I have found the technique to get past the slow defenders. The fast ones like Gallas still give me trouble though.

Enjoying this mode thoroughly.

Yeah, I've played CMF once or twice and enjoyed it just as much as playing AMF to be honest. That way I can also help cut out opposing attacks rather than just starting them, although playing as a CMF/AMF is very tiring in some games. It's great coming on at half-time though because you can really go full throttle for the second half. I'll have to preserve my energy more now I think I'll be starting more games, I'm not complaining like.

The AMF who always got his game in front of me was called Ben Saada, and for some silly reason I hate him. His average rating is 5.7 whereas mine is 6.10 so I'm more deserving now I think.

Bolton seem like a good shout for a team, and if I got an offer from the English League I'd definetely contemplate it. Not sure if I'd join before I edit all the kits mind, I'm an idiot like that, everything needs to be perfect.

I'm on my 3rd BAL... always SS with same stats.

First one started at Sporting Lisbon and gained a starting job playing AMF.... I then transfered to Benfica.... and then the save became corrupted.... (before the patch)

Second one started at Roda, and was alternating between starter and bench, playing as CF... in transfer market, they were struggling (last place...) and I decided to stay as I was the highest graded player on the squad.... 4 times MVP of loosing team.
All went south from there... the team started playing even worse and eventually, I got benched after 2 5.5 and one 5.0 performances... was on bench for 3 games, without coming in....
As I didn't want to endure like 15 more games on the bench without playing... I gave up.

Third one started at Racing Santander, and I'm in the be a sub phase.... already came from the bench in 4 games, 3 times MVP 1 of those as a the loosing team. I play CF or SS...

P.S: Playing on Top player...

I started my first BAL game and made a winger playing in the English leage, found it very difficult as I was always out of the game and found myself getting bored and drifting inside a lot. I also only found the strengthen things after about a season.

Anyway so I started again and created an attacking midfielder in the italian league, started at Cagliari. Probably took about 7 matches to win starting place and straight away I enjoyed the position a lot more, can have much more influence on the games playing in the middle. Stayed with the club for three seasons never doing particularly well, but score a few goals and assists and eventually got interest from Roma in the middle of season 3. Playing AM behind totti and scoring a few more goals and getting assists as well as some MoM awards. At the end of the third season had offer from my beloved Man U but turned it down as I am liking the italian league and am holding out for AC/Inter Milan. I'm now 20, about 8 games into the fourth season and my stats are just starting to get into the mid 70s.

I'm totally addicted to this game mode btw and loving playing it, hardly touched the standard game modes.

Hey all..first post....

Currently in First Season with Sunderland. Started as an AM and kept getting put in as a SS for the first three games I actually played. Scored on debut to level against Man U 2-2 and received man of the match for it....oh yeah it was sweet.

Since then I'm now starting but sit right back in the CM/DM role which is weird considering I'm an AM....but thats the way it goes. The team is rubbish and its frustrating as well when my fellow teammates lose the ball or give it away and the opp score...

Haven't scored again but have given 5 assists...its a bloody hard game, but totally worth it...so much fun....so damn addictive!!!!

- Top Player too -

Enjoying BAL!

Keep the stories coming guys. Nice to see that others are experiencing the same struggle. Here's a quick summary of my 2 seasons in BAL playing as an AMF @ top difficulty

Highs
-Scoring against united, liverpool and chelsea (I raise my game for the big teams...plus they dont play 4-5-1!)
-Playing in Eufa cup semi-final
-A few MoM awards

Lows
-Joining Tottenham!
-Being dropped for D1 cup final (HEARTBREAKING, I still havent forgiven the manager....not even on the bench for the game....they won the match and it is now in my trophy profile but I want to take it off because I did nothing in the final...ok rant over)
-Playing in midfield with Jenas...this guy is a liability...he cant defend or attack! When I play with a proper DM (Zokora or Huddlestone) the results are always good.
-Making so many good runs and team mates never crossing the ball!

Anyway despite all these lows I am really enjoying this mode. It makes up for what I think is a very poor pes. If the AI was anywhere near half-decent this mode would have been even better. Still I've got a lot of football ahead of me and hopefully a call up to the Ghana team.

I play on top player and i joined Stoke as a CF i think i scored about 3 goals in my first season with them which was very frustrating due to the lack of ability, end of first season i joined Newcastle took me 7 training games to get into the team, bearing in mind Newcastle won there first 7 in the league, anyway i scored on my debut and finished up top scorer with 14 goals and we won the league some how.

Anyway i sticked with Newcastle again for the 3rd season and we are doing really bad our form goes. D D L D D L L i have scored 3 goals and just been called up to the England team.

Anyone found that some players seem to be really greedy and when your in loads of space they don't seem to try and get the ball to you?

I am finding it really addictive but very frustrating.

getting some pretty decent stats right now. Best would be my Accel and Speed which is 85 & 92 respectively. Rest of my stats are starting to look good too, with most of them approaching 70 or already in theirs 70s. Was @ Fiorentina playing in my favored role as a WF but i quit them after 1 1/2 seasons cuz the forwards were good on stats but rubbish when it comes to teamwork... the midfield too kept losing possession constantly and i got sick and tired trying to rescue them everytime they conceded idiotic goals. Moved to Lazio and now i'm regretting my decision.... they put on contract that they would play me as an SS or CF but i ended up being a WB in all my sub appearances so far... i swear if i make it into the 1st team and they play me as a WB... i'm gonna skip through their whole season... Come to think of it i seriously regretted moving to the italian league instead of staying in the english from the start.... :fplm:
