Been wondering what that's like... to be honest there are so few teams on the game that actually play WBs, I'd imagine you'll be moved to SMF at most teams and play there your entire career. Considering you can't choose SB as your position at the beginning of the game I'd be surprised if WBs are moved to SB in BAL...
I'm half way through my second season and have just been offered an SS role at Manchester United with a number 9 shirt! My team was Portsmouth, I've had some good performances, hat trick against Liverpool (4-1) and Fulham (4-0), MIP in a 3-1 loss against Barcelona (I got Pompy to 4th last season).
Apart from Stamina which is 83, most of my stats are around mid 70's or below, I've had recent goal drought so was supprised by the United offer. I'm playing on Ametur as Regular was a little difficult - but I think I might move up level at the end of the season. It has been good to get into Europe in the second season, my experience has increased because of the extra games (5 Minute games).
I wonder how difficult it's going to be to get into the United squad at 18, it might have been a bad move.

So many plays with beginner, regular, normal levels and i dont really know why?!?
- only way to play is top player-level and only then those trophys and stats matters
So many talk bull*** about those European best player trophys
- you dont get trophys in top player-level no matter how good you play when you are 19-years old. Why, because you dont get to play to big clubs and those teams win big competitions.
(only Messi can play highest level so young

No offense mate, but it's impossible to have 7.66 rating on top player with stats like that, especially at the age of 17. I scored 147 goals in 137 games in my 6-7-8th season, and my best yearly average was 7.04. I had 16 hattricks altogether, and only had an 8.0 rating once throughout my whole career, for a 3 goals, 2 assists performance.
The results you posted would be on par with winning a F1 Grand Prix lapping every other driver 5-6 times during the race. It's just not possible.

He prolly just saved his game after every game and made sure he got at least a 7.5 rating. It is possible.
No. You can't have 7.66 with only scoring 28 goals in 38 league games as a forward. I scored 51 in 38 games in my best season, and only had 7.1. You don't get 7.5 without scoring on top player.

EDIT: Btw has anyone figured out the rating system? I mean I know that in general, you need to play your position (complete passes or shoot or make tackles), but do we know how much we get for an assist, how much for a goal? Do we know the rating breakdown?

im sorry pelthar but i have had 7.5 on top player without scoring plenty of times even on a losing team, and if you do not believe me that is up to you but it is the truth. just don't lose the ball complete all your passes and make a couple of interceptions and dribbles and you will get it. and you saying u have only had an 8 once, i have had 8 quite a few times, no offense but maybe you ain't that good, yeah u scored lots of goals, more than me even , but u must have missed loads of chances, because seriously i have had 7.5 and 8 loads of times.
I agree that only mastering the game in Top Player that matters, but it's hard (for me anyways) to adjust to the way new PES's play so I need to start from Regular again and work my way up. It's not fun trying Top Player and always getting butchered by the AI anyways...

i think fouls are the biggest thing for getting point reduction!
I play CMF and AMF and if i get 4 shots and 3 on target then im pretty certain i will get a 7.0. 100% pass ratio helps a lot
I dont believe your play positioning helps as much as people say. I play CMF but always drag out to the right and sometimes all my positioning is there however my average is around 7.0

OK, for a midfielder it is easy to get higher ratings.
I play as AMF and every game I try to do 3 things:
1) intercept passes/tackle without foul
2) complete passes (assistance is much better)
3) at least 2 shoots in direction of the goal (it does not matter if the goalie takes)

that's very strange! With that performance I get a 7.0 or a 7.5.
Are you playing as CMF or AMF?

As I said, it seems easier to get good rates when you play as midfielder, even if you don't score. On the other hand, it is more difficult to score...

I play as CF, I'm a striker.
I know it's easier to get better ratings as a midfielder.
I already played 12 seasons altogether with the game so believe me, I've seen a lot. I tried regular first, but it was too easy, and I had superb ratings there. Also tried professional and it was a lot harder, but actually there's not much difference between top player and professional, so I decided to go with top player.
I can only think of one thing, are you guys playing 5 minute games or longer (15 minutes for me)? I'm asking this because I can get 8.0 if I come on as a sub, but almost never as a starter. The shorter the time I'm on the pitch, the easier fro me to get better ratings.

I'm playing 10 minute games. But again, for me, as a midfielder, it's not an issue the length of the game. I think I will start a new legend as a CF to see the differences.
