How can i get rid of the name over players head ?

This is driving me crazy. I would like to play online without these stupid names over players head: is that possible ? I know i can switch it to team players "real name" but can i patch the game so there is nothing over anyone's head ?

I dont think its possible mate, IMO, the names are cool.

This is for Ps2, not sure if its the same for pc.

1) Click on match mode.
2) Click exhibiton.
3) When it gets to player settings where you choose controller press :circle: (Not sure what you press for PC) to choose cursor name, change to default instead of player name.

That's just for offline play dude.

As far as I know the player names online are there to stay.
I looked into it before with no success
