they are terrible!!!

you get subbed on a brace, players on purple arrows get a place in the starting 11 and if your good enough to get 90 minutes you'll get played and played until your stamina bar isn't even half full on kick off, injured.

anyone else got some shocking examples of poor BAL managers??

in the last match of the "Champions League" group stage this season, we needed a win to progress, an draw means we're out. we lose a goal, but fight back and pull level with about 15 minutes to go. right after said goal, the manager pulls off a striker and reverts us from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 and tells me (LMF) to play ultra-defense. obviouslt, i didn't listen and worked my ass off to get a goal. but it was to no avail 'cause everyone else was sitting back like we had the game in the bag.
if i lived in an apartment, my neighbors would be complaining about all the yelling at the tv.

Yes I agree. But I don't fully agree because if your stamina is half you can "skip match" and I don't get subbed in every match. I get to play 90 min. I guess the manager have to earn your trust.

^I have above 80 in stamina. Maybe 84 or something like that. Anway, I didn't say that he didn't get tired, because he did. But not a red in stamina. That's what "skip game" is for.

aaahh i get it now :)

perhaps in 2010 it should be in the managers hands... i always feel like i should play the match if i'm in the squad... plus if your chasing trophies, be it top scorer or assists, then you want to play in all the games you can...

Yeah the manager system in BAL is indeed terrible. My player always get put on the bench, no matter how well I played. And no matter how tired my character is, he plays as many matches untill he runs out of stamina during a match.

I think they should create a system that adds value to matches. For example, if you're a player of Barca whose stamina is low and you have a match coming up against Getafe, followed by a match against Real Madrid. They should make the system work in such a way that the manager doesnt make full use of you during the match against Getafe, so you can play the entire match against Madrid.

played all my 6 seasons as a CF or WF. but last two season in Bordeaux I was always a CF and top scorer in cup and second in league. All of a sudden in the last season I get dropped from CF on the bench, then in the last couple of games in the season I only start as RMF!!!!!

I couldn't understand the reasoning. when the season was over, I played world cup with argentina and guess what, I was placed as SMF!!!!! i only played maybe 2-3 league games as SMF but CF for almost 6 SEASONS!!!!!!!!!

I'm assuming I was placed as SMF so I start games with argentina and not be a sub on the bench, that's the only logic I can see. Also in argentina's formation there is only SS positions up front.

That frustrated the hell out of me. now there are teams who are asking for me to play as AMF,SMF and CMF positions, what the hell is that??? How can a striker who played as a striker for 6 seasons all of a sudden play as a midfielder?!?!??!

I will most likely move to Lyon cause they are offering CF, WF positions.

I totally agree with some comments regarding not being played in some matches even if you scored loads of goals in previous games.

totally frustrating!!!

Got my first call up at 18, played a part in a couple of friendlies, coming on as a sub, during the transfer window. I've played no competative games yet, but I not sure the national side have either...

Friendlies? is that on ps2, because there is not any freindlies on xbox 360. just qualifiers and cups.
