Stay in Mac. Create an Iso in either toast or Disk Util. Then apply all your patches with gumby. Then, burn with toast (ISO file). Seems to me your doing a lot of extra work. Only should be deeling with 1 file (the iso) and then however many .ppf files your adding. No need for Virtual PC, unless you use ISO buster to make an ISO file, then import it into mac osx, then apply patches. Let me know details....I want to help. I only use Virtual PC for x-port..everything else i have done on my mac. It sucks at first, I wasted many disks. Stick with it, it gets easier.

thanks man, sorry I had to take a break cos it was too frustrating, hope yer still around
as far as gumby goes..I don't think any of the patch files are ppf
I think I'm gonna try again today

yeah I read the gumby manual and I don't think I can use it for this
I have the classicos 2004 patch
it's an afs file and uses a pc only program to patch called afs explorer
I don't mind using virtual pc now that I went through all the trouble of getting it
I guess what I need to know from you is how you toast that final iso in a way that the ps2 reads it (I copy games with toast all the time)
if I figure out how to burn it maybe I'll realize that I patched it wrong though I've emailed mauras (the author) with questions and got nothing in response
I'm nearly ready to give up which sucks cos I really want that game
santa is giving my mom a new pc for christmas so I might try it on that at the end of the month :|

normally with toast if I want to burn an .iso I > open toast >click the copy tab > choose image file on the left side of the window > click select > uncheck auto select format at the bottom of the window before you find your .iso > click burn.

not sure if this is how your doing it but that always works for me.

using toast 6.0.7 under os 10.3.6

this is right, by the way, thanks
not that I made it work *sigh*
I just tried it with the unpatched .iso and it worked
its gotta be a problem from the patching end
