i can't say i've played we7 for a LONG time, but its been more than a hundred or so matches, playing both exhibitions and ML. one funny thing is that i can't get a decent cross or a nice corner which converts into a goal (not more than 5 in a hundred games).....WHY?! When i was on we6, 1/2 the goals was from corners and crosses...... is it really that hard on we7?! how do u guys take the corner to get an easy goal in?!?! i've tried evrything from high ones to low one, curving or just pushing up..... any suggestions or techniques?!?!

When taking corners i usually get the power just over half way and try and curl it away from the goalkeeper, so i will aim near the keeper and curl it away and then i usually get a good chance of scoring.

u just need more practise.

I always have a shot with corners... i have a better goal ratio with directly slotting it from corners than freekicks in shootable positions..

thanx for the prompt reply giggsy..........

when u curve the ball in 4 a corner, should i initially aim straight at the goal post and curve in from there?!? and should i press up 2 make the ball go faster?! any other suggestions?!?!

it depends on who is taking the corner and what the curl is like.

if u aim just slightly to the side of the keeper (not directly at him because its possible he could catch it) and keep your fingure on up and the direction you want to curve at the same time and that should work.

I find that it depends which team you are.

Normally though, you'll find that your centre backs stand in the centre, just outside the 6 yard box, and your 2 strikers stand on the far side on line with the penalty spot, on the far side of the box. So, normally I aim for my tallest player or best headerer, and hope they either knock it down to the centre backs to poke in, or fire it into the back of the net themselves.

I don't think it matters what team your on because when i take a corner i NEVER aim for a player , i just curl it in and it always goes to one of my players and i find corners easy to score from.

I usually pick the player I want to get the ball to at corners. Most of the time I aim for a player in front of the goal outside the 6 yard box and try to deliver the ball just in front of him.

yeh.... i'd tried that 2...... but its just that the defenders get a head on the ball 95% of the time, and the other 5% which MY players get the ball would head it no where near the goal or it'll hit the 5m thick post...... =(

it ok thaking the coner but u have to make sure u got player that can head, look at the head and jup stats and aim for the best one

sorry m8, wot iam trying to say is that u need to find a play in the box, so if u look at the stats for a player that can jump and head, then make sure he gose up front, then aim for him. i had a proble with coners till i got a player who can head, now it just a matter of finding him in the box

i find corners very easy to score from.

I always use an outswinging corner, and aim straight along the goal line and curl it out.

If no mans at the near post i use half power and push left or right(away from the goal).

If there is a man i use nearly 3/4 power and push up as well as sideways for a nice powerful corner that he flicks into the far post.

Obviously this only works with decent players.

It works with an inswinging corner to but its harder to judge the line so i just outswing as its the same everytime.

I never aim for anyone, i just curl it away from the keeper and thier is usually always someone thier to header it in.

A Near Post Corner

I'm no 5* genius but I score maybe one in three corners.

For a corner on the Left side, I'll use a right footed player to curl the ball in towards the near post, usually the SMF from the opposite wing.

I aim at the corner of the 6-yard box, press up and to the left on the Left Analogue Stick i.e. driven in, curling slightly towards the near post, and give it 50% on the power bar. A good attacker (like Figo, Bergkamp or Henry) will usually rise to head the ball at the near post (tap Square), before the keeper or a defender can react.

GOL! GOL! GOL!
