how do you download ps3 (nov 5th) update

how in the name of the wee man do you do it?

konami are a complete and utter shambles.

i thought id stick my ps3 on this morning b4 i headed to work and download the official update when i was at work....yeah sure.
unlike every other game i own (around 20) this nonsense of a release does not automatically do the update. fingers burnt maybe?

it tells me to go to settings first then to download update...where?
on the xmb...in the settings within the game.

offline the game is superb but and in this modern era of next gen gaming and wireless networking konami have lost the plot.
the tell you to use cables instead of wireless...get real.
they release updates by mistake...pah
they have not got a clue.

i suppose its all about making money, and they have ours now.
there is a gap in the market that someone needs to exploit.

Well I was under the impression that it will update as soon as you stick the disk in?!?!? Hope you don't have to download it via the install option in the game. As for some reason, it won't let me on the net for this version of pro.

u do have to go into the system settings in game and click on the download link there. Can't really remember but the game will only prompt u to say that a patch is available. Anyway last i checked, the update hasn't been released yet.

when i went to pro evo at 7.25am this morning my ps3 automatically told me that a new update 1.20 was available and to go to system/update.
so stick that in yer pipe.

clearly it is your goodself that is not in the loop let alone being clueless
pes elite...dont make me laugh. away back to school.

no its not a ps3 system update.
it was only for pro 09.
if i put in any other game it does not tell me to update.
and are we not on 2.50 for the system now anyway, cant remember.
mybe your stuck back on 1.2 playing tetris or something

I shall, despite you obvious inability to correctly spell a simple four letter word, assume this was directed to me.

The System update will tell you once on startup that a system update is available (I'm assuming you have auto-run enabled and that PES was in the drive when you turned on your machine).

Have you tried putting PES back in the drive a second time? Does the update message still direct you to 'system update' within the XMB? I'm guessing not.

Furthermore, I shall accept your apology and file 'smartarse' as a compliment. Obliged.

ok, plain and simple it is not a system update.
the alert only appeared when you move to the game
disc startup icon within the game folder in the xmb.
and only when pe09 disc was in the drive. i removed it and re-inerted to check.
i repeat, this update alert was not on startup of my ps3.
i do know the difference.

i didnt realise it was a grammar forum. ho hum.

maybe i inadvertadly stumbled across a konami blip with the
update in the 3 min period i powered up my ps3.
maybe it came down after that. i do not know as i left for work
just after. i will have another look later and keep you posted
if your bothered.
i only posted to see if anyone else encountered this.
did it ask you to update to 1.20 this morning?
well it sure did me. i cant be the only one in the planet that got
this alert today?

Other games do not necessarily trigger system update. That is because they can run perfectly fine without the update being necessary. PES itself does not need the system update unless u intend to delve online. Only then will the PS3 prompt u to update to match what is on the web.

and no the update is not on yet. I did patched mine with the one Konami accidentally released and so far there has been no indication of anything overwriting that either. Case in point, Bendnter still has zombie eyes and Possebon is still named as Possebom.

i had a system updat 2.53 or sumfin like that come up on my ps3 this mornin just to let u all know and throw it into the mix

Same here, no mention of an update for game itself tho ?

Have tried re-inserting game disk too....

can anyone advise, confirm if patch has been released yet ?
