Thats not really signing players though is it, it is just having them because you couldn't be arsed to play the game properly. We could all play it like that, but we choose the challenge. You don't have to play everyday, seeing as the next PES won't be out for another year you have plenty of time to play three or four good master leagues, I managed to do that in the last year despite having a girlfriend 200 miles away from me at uni, completing a masters degree in history, playing cricket most of the summer, and working full time. I believe that is what you might consider 'having a life'.
Also you can't call someone a pr*ck just because they disagree with what you are saying. Its having an opinion, therefore it is THEIR view. Thing is, 99% of the people here disagree with you.
On the actual point of this post, I loaned Hleb from Barcelona and two goalkeepers (Hildebrand and some young Brazilian) for Liverpool, and although it cost a bit it has been worth it. I think loaning players lessens the effect of team/player popularity, just so long as they are reserves as someone else has already said. Much like in real life. I never used it in previous versions but because Konami have massively underestimated the prowess of Reina (goalkeeping skills 78!) I needed quality cover.
