think that when you loan someone it's for a year? anyway you go to make an offer for a player, and as long as he has a club and perhaps as long as its not his first season (could have just dreamt that one up), then there should be options of buy, trade-buy or loan. Personally think its a waste of money you might as well buy a young player and watch him develop into a hero instead of loaning a star and having him gone by the end of the season
