How long is Become A Legend mode?

Quick question which I haven't managed to find the answer to:

How many seasons does Become A Legend run for? I'm only asking as I read recently that FIFA 09's Be A Pro mode lasts for just four seasons (or did so in FIFA 08, I can't recall which).

Im led to believe that Become A Legend lasts 20 in game years. So you go from being a fresh-faced young Theo Walcott 18 year old type sensation, through your career until your a 38 year old Teddy Sheringham on your last legs, and in that time you try to accumulate all the individual and club awards available to you, such as winning the CL and being named World player of the year.

It sounds very exciting.

I saw a video of a Konami representative (I think) playing PES 2009 and someone asked him the same question, his answer was it can go on as long as you like.
Eg. if you start off at 17 you can build your player up to play for the team of your dreams and be the best in the world, then you continue as long as your able to stay at the top of your game (so I reckon in early 30's your stats will start to go right down and you'll be virtually useless by a certain age).

Yeah that will be the idea, you will probably peak around 26-28 and then your stats will slowly decrease from then on. And when you get to around 33-35 you'll be a dodgy old player on your last legs, and probably get transferred to a lesser team, and then for the next few seasons it will just be about keeping your place in the team.

I'm really looking forward to it, its much more in-depth than FIFAs Be A Pro mode.

That's all precisely what I wanted to hear. The four-season limit in whichever FIFA it is/was sounded like a waste of time in most respects.

20 years sounds right, then maybe your reborn if you want to continue like with the real golden oldies in ML. i think you will start to decrease in speed and stamina no matter what by the time you are 30 however i think if you continue to pick out exceptional passes, keep shots on target and keep the ball you will maintain these key attributes and hopefully your place in the team. for example look at Tugay, hes slow as hell, but holds aroound the midfield area and just pings balls about, and throws in the occasional scorcher volley!

^Something like that but I guess to make it more realistic at a certain age 38+ you will be farced to retire but I hope that if you're good, they'll keep you.

I think they touched on it in the article t23d posted, but I wonder what will be the consequences if you continuously stroll out of position. Will you be subbed off or even left out of the manager's line-up in future? Will relationships deteriorate (with manager and team mates)? I'll probably make myself a central midfielder - poll anyone? - so I'll hopefully be on the ball as often as possible. I wonder if you will hear your team mates call for the ball or the manager yell instructions. I haven't played the FIFA version, so I'm not sure how it works.

I hope it's more advanced than the current player fix anyway. And that they don't judge things on the bizarre player ratings.

will you be able to create your own player for this mode or will you have to control a real life player?
either way this mode sounds class, i enjoyed be a pro on fifa but, with their version lasting only 4 seasons, i wont be bothering with the game this time around (its a stupid decision making it only last 4 seasons imo, having league 2 and upwards could make it a great mode but they have really ruined it for themselves with that decision)
