i think getting out of division 3 on extreme is the hardest thing to do in extreme mode but its also fun looking for great freebies you've never heard of or signed!
annoying when they dont come though!!

I have always finished top of every league in PES1 and PES2. These games are a little too easy.

WE6:FE and WE7 are much more difficult and provide a real challenge.
BTW, in WE7 there are 5 star levels for difficulty as there was in PES1. Not sure if you can change during the campaign. 5* will make you work hard.

when I make tranfers it usually takes me 2-3 seasons. I tried with the default team (no tranfers) and took me 9 seasons. There is a thread about getting promoted with default team and I try this now. tried 3 times (1st season 4th place, 2nd season 3rd place, 3rd season 2nd place, eliminated in playoffs)

hard to say who long it takes cause it is a mether of skill and luck. Sometimes I manage to win the first 4 or 5 games, with average play. Sometimes I play very well in the beginning but shoot the post or the cpu goalie haas everything and I draw or lose.

Mostlyhowever I promote the first season and sometimes the second

I don't know i don't think extreme is THAT hard when i was on hard i got up it my first season-i don't really play master league that much.

But as long as u keep it simple and just try and score the easy goals(sweet spot)then u can usally defend your goal lead quite well.

Its the scoring thats hard not the defending

I just finished in first, on my second season in the third division, despite a 3-1 tanking by Spartak in the last game. Here's hoping the play-offs go well....

It took me one season on the Extreme Level to get promoted. Just buy players as soon as you have the chance. Pull up their loans a bit and they will join your club. Don't worry to loose money because of the high wages. Just make sure you end first in the third division, have the top goalscorer and the top assister, and win the tiny cup. You will earn a lot of money doing that, and there won't be any problems.

Go for Chilavert (Paraguay), Dida (Brazil), Kiraly (Hungary), Quintana (Colombia), Gamarra (Paraguay), Suarez (Mexico), Mokoena (South-Africa), West (Nigeria), Ulises (Ecuador), Novak (Slovakia), Gedic (Slovakia), Fadiga (Senegal), Denilson (Brazil), Mostovoi (Russia), Juninho Paulista (Brazil), Balakov (Bulgaria), Zahovic (Slovenie), Djorkaeff (France), Zuma (South-Africa), Olisadebe (Poland), Diouf (Senegal), Rebrov (Ukraine), Masinga (South-Africa), McCarthy (South-Africa), Emile Mpenza (Belgium)

Later you will be able to sell those players and get a lot of money for them. This gives you the opportunity to buy your favorite player(s).

Just pull up their wages!!
For exemple: you want to buy Olisadebe. Salary points (for exemple): 260. Make it 375 or something like that. I'm sure he will join! Give him a 2 year-contract. You will have to pay less then when giving him a 5 year-contract. But if you do that, giving him a 5 year-contract for exemple, you will lose money: When he plays well, after a season or two, you will get offers from Juventus, ... They will give you a huge some of money. Sell him! But if you gave him a 5 year-contract instead of a 2 year-contract, the profit won't be that high, because you 'paid' for 5 years.

In PES2 and WE6:FE, whenever I bought a player I never offered more than 10 over the asking price for salary and wages and I usually got who I wanted.
