Sorry if this is stupid question but i got a dvd writer today and followed Zygalski guide to patch and burn the dvd, everything went fine. My question is i'm burning the image now at the slowest speed with alcohol 120% and it's been going for over an hour now and has only done like 736kb. Is this normal and how lond does it usually take u guys?

Looks like it's not burning it properly. Burning the DVD slowly should take about 30 minutes.

Reset your PC before burning to improve chances of it burning properly.

Thats what i did do cos u said to do that in the guide also there are no other programs running. It's done 1.1mb now in an hour and 46 mins should i just abort and try again or what?

It's a NEC dual layer 16x writer

I had some pronlems with NEC one so I returned it and got a Somy one. I recomend you to get a sony one

I;ve just burnt it again it took 10 mins to burn. I'm using verbatim dvd+r 8x. I burnt at the slowest speed 2.4x. When i try and load it with swap magic it just brings up a purple border then nothing. I put the disc in my dvd rom drive, it's got all the right files. Don't know why it won't work now. Any suggestions?
