Been playing online MESS2008 again......unfortunately....
First game, AC Milan Vs Chelsea
I was playing as AC, my first goal game from a corner that went right to the keepers hands only for the keeper to deflect it into his own net.
1-0
My second goal game from a a rather poor Shot with Ronaldo, that the keeper parried, that the defender ran into, that the keeper dropped, that the defender ran over the line.
2-0
To my surpirse, the guy never disconnected (I would have) and the game ended 2-0. Contrary to what the developers may think, I took no satisfaction of pleasure from either of these fucking horrendous goals. Instead, they just left me feeling kind of cold and apologetic towards that guy I was playing (who was actually trying to play the game instead of exploit it). Had it been the other way around, I would be going apeshit and voleying my PC desktop around the room.
Why Konami....WHY?

With me again playing as AC, I played some cunt called proevpete who obvioulsy doesnt have a very good PC as this game was one of them slowed down drrrrrrragggging affairs. Having no choice but to pass the ball into the net, I got my lame goal from hundred dribbles and small passes, and tried to sit on the lead and just see the unpleasant experience through.

But nope, God Mode kicked in and it seemed that God was supporting Man Red

I tried to punch back with lame easy goal right from kick off but I got hit again on the counter

Trying like fuck to get an equaliser I break through into a classic PES magic zone in the box and sure to score but get brought down from behind!
NO PENALTY.
Instead, ProEvPete (avoid this dude and his shitey PC btw) runs right up the pitch soley with C.Ronaldo (as was his main tactic entire game) and gets into my box and starts passing it around. However, one of my defenders wins the ball cleanly and clears....but wait a minute, the ref has singled for a free kick.....damn, now I have to play an unpassable pass out of my danger area....oh no..its not a free-kick...its a
PENALTY????

But by this time I had minimized window and shut the the fucking game down.
As if God Mode wasn't hated enough the way it bended the AI to favour one team over another Seabass has now obvioulsy included a corrupt referee feature in the game.....OMFG.
I dont think I will bother playing anymore of this atrocious game for the rest of the week now.....I am not even angry...just apathetic towards it which is truly a first with any PES game.
Interesting to see that it is now retailing at bargain basement prices as well!
This is a good sign as far as I am concerned...I would so like Konami to make a loss on this title to teach them a fucking lesson about releasing unfinished products. I have done my bit by taking my orginal back for refund (kept serial number of course)
Roll on Sensible World Of Soccer Online...Then I can put this shite to bed once and for all.
