How often do you play older versions of PES/WE?

How often do you play older versions of PES/WE? Or even ISS on PS1 or SNES?

Is there anything you prefer about these older games that you would like to see back in the future?

For instance, i was playing PES1 the other day and it struck me how the pace of the game felt just right. PES2 was way to fast, and PES3 could be a little slower maybe. So a return to this kind of pace in PES4 would be welcome. And another thing, the crowd noise in the older games was better, with proper chants for many of the national teams.

i almost whacked PES2 into my PS2 just to be able to dribble through entire defensice lines with Recoba.. and then hit an absoulte scorcher of a shot at the end of it.. or chip the keeper perfectly.. but it never got any further than an urge.. can't do it.. have seen how much better PES3 was.. and i could not go back to PES2, it would be like a step in the wrong direction...

Never, I haven't touched pes3 since I got we8 and I can't see myself doing so simply because it's not as challenging/good.

Its worth playing the old ones from time to time to remind yourself how good the games are now.

I had a couple of matches on PES1, PES2 and WE6:FE last month and they felt weird.

Only if my mates latest copy, is the previous for me. I usually win, cause I find the game so easy, when I go back to it.

I play older versions every now and then, and it feels very odd. And it does remind me how good the game is I am playing now. Funny to see how much the games actually change with every new version. Played PES3 yesterday and it already feels strange and different.

I played PES2 a few months ago, the turning is very hard, compared to PES3 they turn really shar, i could never score and each game i played was always 0-0!

It's awesome to play older version from time to time. I even tried few days a go ISS 1 and 2.

Regularly, I started ML on PES2 again just last week! It's great to go back to older games, it feels pretty weird whenm playing an old game but hten you get used to it and that wierd feeling is replaced with "Wow! This game's still awesome!!"

I've not kept any older versions of PES, is that wrong? I have fond memories of past versions though, the through ball from 1, the better crowd noise and on field sounds from 1, the finishing from 2, Kewell's directness in 2, Queen soundtrack from 2 and Shevchenko being a good player in 1.

Very true, its surprising how good the old games still are. I have a very big soft spot for PES1....i just love the pace of the game, i think its spot on.

Well I have the new WE8 and hate its guts, (I'm not getting into it) So we still and will continue to play PES3 on the PC until we feel we're actually steping up a gear.If PES4 has slowdown aswell , "its gone like the wind".......

the only older version i play of these games is WE6 .. i like the most for sum reason.. maybe because of the FULL player licenses.. and cus its the one im best in
