You're one on one with the keeper.... what do you do??? This is in PES not real life...

In real life, i would try something clever and fuck it up :( so lets not go into that. On the game, i shoot low if i need a goal, but if i'm in a strong position I'll go for a chip or skin the goalkeeper. However, I shoot low the most so that's what I've voted for.

For those of you that aren't from the UK or dont know, 'av it!!' means blast it as hard as you can :p

I voted for the last one, it depends on the situation, position on player.
If I´m one on one in central position and have a fast player I try to go round the keeper, if my player has good stats in shot accuracy and reaction I´m making a chip.
When I´m one on one but not central I mostly try a low shot, sometimes a chip.
When the result is clear and there is not much time left I´m sometimes shooting as hard as it´s possible to hit the goal.

sometimes i do a combination of both, like round the goalkeeper and then blast it as hard as possible to put it in the roof of the net :D heh

At the moment I'm pretty crap at PES3 because I've just started playing this series. So because my matches are close and goals are rare I just try and be clinical and shoot low. But I love chips the best followed by going around the goalkeeper. Once I'm more experienced I might try some chips. But for the time being I'm just learning the basics.

I can see your unedited post (moderation options rule :D ) but why have you changed it ?

My favourite is the chip, but not any old chip. I try to do it as early as possible, to give the keeper half a chance. The end result I aim for is getting the keeper to scramble back and dive for the ball just as it crosses the line. Make him suffer!

they look great when they work, the keeper runs back and then dives and ends up in the back of the net with the ball. quality :D

I chose the last option. It does vary. Often I like putting together sharp passing movements and finishing off with a tap-in or fakey around the keeper.

Running at the defense and then passing to an open player for a shot is cool too.

low shots

i tend to go for low shots when i using Japan, the striker's accuracy power and strength is a bit crap so hence the placing.

but when i use england i tend to do anything that looks good. i m the kinda player that would do some thing classy rather than to be safe so i end up winning classy or losing terribly.

btw, can some one use japan for me and try and score from a free kick? i m finding it near impossible.

cheers

Ashley,1-on-1 with the keeper and you should do a shot feint, the keeper goes own and you score,70% of the time, which is a godd rate,if you arerelatively far out however, but it's only the keeper to beat, tap square for a low shot that keepers in the game either let in or put out for a corner.Too hard and it will go right into his stomach

ill have a go at that later. try being brazil or someone for a change.

i just try to challenge myself thats all, its a really satisfying feeling to beat a mate who is using a world class team and beating them 3-0 with japan.

when i use better teams, its no problem infact i m really good :p
whats your msn btw add you to my list

I voted for "Varies".
In PES2, I was great at the R1 lob but it doesn't work for me in PES3. L1 is better now it seems. I usually round the keeper using R2 or pass it square to another forward to tap it in.... hopefully. :)
