i Voted Varies, as seems to be the common consensus, you have to weigh up importance of match, player, position etc...

the R1 or double tap square lob (you have to go onto button config and choose this option) are 250% better than Pes2, both in animation and execution, i find lobbing on this one really easy so i do that often, like to go round the goalie, actually i very rarely just slide the ball in these days!!!

i've started to master the 360 pirouette so i'm trying that now, done it about 5 times so far, i find it unpredictable how far you knock the ball wide (when you spin the ball goes slightly to the side, not dead in front of you) so i have made a right royal tit of myself many more times than i've scored.

for ultimate humiliation, when you are 1-1 or 2-2 with a mate who you have a huge rivalry with in the last minute, round his 'keeper, run toward the line and 360 it about 3 feet from the goal! you finish your spin just before the line and sort of back heel it in!! GENIUS!

but you would look the royalest of tits if u messed that up!!!

i forgot to add the option of squaring it to a team mate, although if it was a true one on one there wouldnt be a team mate there so...

ah, shut up now.

yeah, but its fun when it works, i want to get a camera above my t.v facing my bed so i can capture their expressions (or should it go wrong...mine "ohhhhhhhh F.....") lol

old chinese proverb: (probably, they've got one for everything)
"when using the ultimate humiliation trick, you must first accept, that the humiliation may not be for who you intend it...."

Wise words.......

just make sure your mates dont see it, they wont know what to think :p

i always shot feint if its a true one on one and there no pesky defenders nickin the ball off me

never heard of that one before, you learn some thing new everyday.

my favorite 1-1 is when i m pissed drunk with my mates

when i go for goal, i scream "arghhhhhh" totally knocks off your opponent and hey a goal.

Usually I shoot low. it's safer. But when I play against humans I like to dribble the keeper. you know why ;)

i like the proverb, very true.

i shoot low when necessary. low shots dont have to be boring - you can drive them with pace or do a cheeky toe poke when the keepers approaching.

i cant stand running through and doing the same old tap ins though. boring

If its an important match does anyone tend to panick on the harder games. i.e You might be a goal down you get a great shooting chance (one of few within the game) then just bottle it and fly it wide. I have done this as you may have guessed. Wales v Italy. Italy 1-0 up and 10 minutes to go. Hartson receives the ball from Giggs just inside the box. Rush of BLOOD to the head and he's only just fucked it right up and made a long pass into Row Z.

What I attempt in one on one situations tends to vary. However, I have attempted quite a few lobs in PES3 which have not proved to be successful. Having said that, I have scored a couple of nice lobs. :)

i agree about taking the lob early so you can see the scrambling keeper, but I also love it when the keeper dives back and tips it over the bar, makes good viewing, but you are too pissed off to save the replay!

its good that there is no foolproof way of scoring every time. its good to have variety. glad to see someone has voted for 'av it!!!' :D :D :D

i often panick in big games, but i dont blaze it over, i try to press square so fast and so lightly to tap the ball under the goalie that i dont press it at all and run it into his hands!

i'll learn not to do it eventually, going round the goalie is too easy on this version! anyone else think so?

i wouldnt say its easier but probably smoother and more responsive to what you actually what you want to do when you are passing the goalie.

sorry if i keep mentioning this but if you use crap team like japan, even the simpliest of things can be difficult.

i try to get it passed between the legs first. if he's aware, i shoot so the ball passes near the area between the knee and the foot. i hope you understood? kinda like this /\: (ball is somewhere in the middle of the dots)

most people can't move that part so fast, so it's a trick

I usually tap the O button (I changed [] with O) and shoot low, that's the best option in my opinion. However, I still do miss at times and that's 'cause I still have my index finger on R1.

If I'm winning comfortably then I more often than not go for the chip, that's because it looks good in the replay.
