Simple. Put the GK Skill for all players in the game on 1. This wont change the difficulty of the game, as you still need to get past the defense, but it makes the game more realistic in terms of goals as the AI's keeper is a kung fu octopus with freak reflexes. I find the game a lot more enjoyable this way. You get rewarded more often for good buildup play and intelligent openings, rather than having to depend on fumbled balls or ricochets to score. Before any of you think you can score from 30m with this, wrong.
Putting the GK on 1 makes the keeper very comparable to the PES6 keeper, which was fine.

Make a backup of your PES2008_EDIT01.bin located in your Documents before you do this, in case you dont like it.
1) Download, extract somewhere, run the "PRO EVO Editeur 2008.exe"
2) Click on File (top left)
3) Click on Open
4) Go to My Documents
5) Doubleclick on KONAMI
6) Doubleclick on Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
7) Doubleclick on save
8) Doubleclick on PES2008_EDIT01.bin
9) Go to the Stats Adjust tab
10) Select "All Players" under the Position pulldown menu
11) Select "Goal Keeper Skills" under "Stats"
12) Select "-" under Method
13) Enter "99" in the numerical field
14) Click the Accept button
15) In the searchbar, top left, enter Ivarov
16) Go to the Players tab
17) Change his GK Skill to 99
18) Click Accept
19) Click on File
20) Click on Save
Done.
You will want to put your own keeper's skill on 80-99 to make sure the AI doesnt use long distance laser guided shots to score goals. Or you could "default" the abilities for the player under the Edit menu in the game itself. I changed Ivarov as he is the Master League default team's keeper.
