How to make an PES3 retail DVD to a PES3 patchable DVD (so not a patched PES3 CD-iso)

I have a ps2 (v9) modified with messiah 2 pro 1.33b. It appears to be that it is very noice while reading cd backups. It reads Dvd-backups just fine.

There was a thread on a dutch forum that the v9 ps2 could overburn when it has problems with reading.

Therefore i only want to use dvd backup.

Now i want to make an image of my retail pes3 dvd ps2, patch it and burn it as a dvd (so not a cd).

The editing for idiots guide is especially written for a pes3 cd.

Can some tell me which steps i have to use to make an patched pes3 DVD ...????

Yes my friend, indeed it is.
But I don't think many people here will know the answer.
The top people who might be able to help are jonboyo and tato, and neither of them use these forums. To get your answer quicker, it'd be better to ask over where they can be found.

It's just a suggestion. I don't know the answer and not many others here will either. So your questions could have been left unanswered for weeks. Just trying to help you get to your answer sooner :)

Well, I can remember this thread over at evo-web, it wasn´t very popular, there were a lot of unanswered questions. The best thing would be to ask fishcake via pm, I don´t think jb or tato know this.

what's the difference between a patchable dvd copy and a normal copy?would'nt it work extracting the whole dvd to the drive and replacing the sles and over files with cd mage and applying the patch? i thought the difference btween cdr and dvd were just the comments in each language...

HullyBul, any joy on this? I found a manual that tells you how to rip and burn again, but the patching still remains a mystery!

Surely getting an already patched AFS (DATA_E.AFS) file would be the answer and then replacing the ripped version and then burning the DVD, only problem would be that it would be 500mb+

Once you have gone through the process of creating the Patched CD and then burnt the image, you should be able to extract the AFS file from the CD (in theory). Could anyone confirm this please?

Am I simplifing this too much?

Maybe a patch (AFP) could be created with AFS explorer that could then be used?

Any ideas anyone?
