How to play with 2 controllers?

Hello,
I got the PES 2009 PC version few days ago.
Me and my friend were trying to play together as we were doing all over the years in FIFA.
We have found out that we can choose only one controller even tough we plugged the joystick in and the keyboard as well.

What can we do? How can we add another controller?

I am also having a problem when trying to use two controllers in PES 2009 for the PC.

I have a wired xbox 360 controller and a wireless one.

The wireless one works on its own if the wired one isn't plugged in but if it is then it wont recognise the wireless controller and I will have to reboot for it to recognise the wireless one again. The wired controller seems to take priority.

Going to try and persuade my house mate to borrow his wireless controller to see if its a Microsoft issue with compatibility with a wired and wireless controller or the game it self.

Any one else have this problem or ideas how to fix?

Go to the start menu and select settings in the PES folder, you can select them in there as long as you're sure that both controllers are working properly.

Thank you. It's working in Exhibition.

But, is there a way to play with 2 controllers also in tournament mode? (say - champions league mode for example?)

I know you say you have it working, but make sure in the settings.exe you select the controls you'll be using... You can select up to 4 controls, but you have to make sure you select the device for each control.

As for other modes... Not sure, but the only games you would be able to play in is where you can select a side. (like when you move the control over to the appropriate team.) If you can't do it this way... Try pressing the select or start buttons on the second control. Because I know this is how you use to play 2 people on the same PC online with PES6

me and my mates did a champs league with barcelona all on the same team so using 4 controllers and using the select player feature, played up untill 3 i the morning, was immense till we were knocked out in the semis!

Its looks like you cant use a wired and a wireless xbox 360 controllers together as connecting two wireless ones worked :S

but how? I don't have to option to choose controllers before champions matches.....

I don't have the PC version, but can't you stop the game before the kick-off and do the controller selection via "Player Settings"?

no.
for example, when I play Champions league, I have the pre-match picture and then I click "start" then I have the tactics view and only tactics options and "start match" button.

does anyone have a solution?!

I figured it out! you have to choose the controllers after the match starts.

Is there any way to play as the opposition team against your mates team in for example Konami cup? I.e, is it possible to simply move the player 2 joypad across to the opposition in player settings, I can't find it if there is. My mates and me have had great buzzes playing through tournaments like this on every PES up until last years PS3 version. Does anyone know if this option can be unlocked?

Dont forget people taht on the PC version in order to play with more than one controler you need to use the setup tool and program all the controllers you wish to use. I currently have 3 controllers for PES active.
