simple, have the obscure teams from sweden or denmark ect automtically in it every year to make up the numers, wether or not they are in the ML leagues.they can still be in the game, it would simply mean you couldnt check up on them in there league standings and they would be there every year, which most of them are, they could still be used in exhibition.

EDIT PAH if its not in the ML its pointless, we could do our own champions league prior to the license, all we had to do was go in a konami cup and select club teams and sort it from there, a couple of new adverts and a CL song and logo wont make it a good mode to play as there is no progress, where as in the ML you progress, your team gets better, you get new players to qualify and win, picking one team, one set team and playing straight through a CL tournament wont be that fun, its all about resting those key players in the crappy league match prior and things like that

I agree with Amateur, especially when it seems Konami have paid to use the logos and all other paraphenalia(sp) but not the liscencing of teams involved in this seasons competition...

The only reason why it wouldnt be in the ML would be because CL liscence includes all the proper team names/kits etc in the tournament this season, which I doubt it is...

All the clubs that are licensed in the ML are licensed in the CL and no more. Its not like they can only have chelsea or w/e in the CL and not in the ML and the kits in the CL dont have proper logos etc so obviously they arnt licensing it fully cos their using it in other modes. So there shouldnt be any issues with licensing. Also i'd like to make it clear that it is vertually in the BAL with the achievements and there is no confirmation thats its not in the ML or anything like that

I agree in that we don't have any proper Confirmation.. But, if Cheslea and Arsenal where Licensed, Don you think we would be seeing by now some pics of Chelsea and Arsenal??

That was my point! They dont have Chelsea or Ars in the CL or game so there is nothing holding them back. Why do you think they wernt wearing CL kits if it was the CL mode? Imo its because they have sacrificed some licensing stuff to include it other modes and i know its a little out there but.......

That video and pics may have come from playing the CL inside the ML

If they had the mode and only the mode then why dont they have the CL logo on their kit? Because you can play the compitition inside and outside of the mode. If they had kitted out the CL because they wernt using it in other modes they'd of done all the kits etc properly

Honestly, I hope that turns out to be the case -as- I can easily EDIT Arsenal and Chelsea to perfection. I would rather have the Champions League Implemented into the ML Mode -rather- than having 2 Big Clubs fully licensed.

Even more so considering that we can easily Edit Most Team Kits -IF- the Edit Mode is as good as they say.

Sacrificing a few Licenses to have the Champions League Implemented into the ML Mode.. Now that sounds Smarter, that sounds like something Konami would do. And as for the Lack of Licenses, that's something a proper Edit Mode can easily fix.

Still No Confirmation though..

Couldn't Konami have implemented a champions league into the game but not called the champions league? Then they just go back and rename the tournament, add the licensed teams etc?

If its confirm to be separate, fair enough. But if nothings confirmed, maybe Konami had an idea they would get the licensed and have already worked something into the master league. As it would be a heck of a good feature if it was in the master league.

Are you saying that maybe we'll get to see a "European Cup" with Champions League "Intro Music" and "Match Ball"?? That sounds possible, and it is something I can see Konami doing.

By the way, I think it's already been Confirmed that the Champions League WILL be a Separate Mode.. Don't know about any Official confirmation from Konami -but- at least Adam from WENB said that the Champions League is on a Sepparate Mode.

A shame really, one good thing turned into Plain Disappointment -as- NOT only are Chelsea and Arsenal NOT licensed, but we Also cannot play the CL in the Master League Mode.

In other words, the UEFA Champions League is just a "Marketing Tool" and nothing more.. it will (probably) be completely Irrelevant to the actual game.

I think if they were able to have all the teams participating in the 08/09 champions league liscenced then that would soften the blow, but i guess its not meant to be....

still the gameplay is alledged to be approved and the graphics are looking polished so still looking forward to it....

I'm pretty sure it will be separate.

One reason they cannot make it part of the ML is that there aren't enough leagues in the ML unless there planning to make leagues so all different kind of countries which I highly doubt.

guys one question. for example Anorthosis Famagusta plays in CL, so it will be included in CL. do u know if it will be included in exhibition mode too? and the same for the other clubs...

it could always just be a major farce where they dont have all the teams who are actually in the CL and its simply an option in the cups mode, alongside the "international cup" and "european cup" where all you do is select Champions league and select teams to participate. that is something that would be a major dissapointment but i can whole heartidly see happening, we all know what konami is like.

The way i think it will be included is that the CL will be a separate mode, with all Champions League teams fully licensed just for this mode, with kits and everything.
I also think there will be some sort of online Champions League, so we could play as a licensed Arsenal and Chelsea for that mode

The Master league will be similar to last season with new features, and thats it.

As for the gamer points for "A title awarded when you play for the first time in UEFA Champions League. 10" Could this be possible for a team qualifying from the qualification rounds into the Group stages?
