I <3 this game!! Best Settings for PES 2012

I love having zero assist personally, also have manual control of the 2nd player but that's hard online due to the speed. -1 offline

First play tonight. I did not player either demo, so this was a first run.There may be problems but I already know I am going to have countless hours of fun with this. When I scored my first goal with Hamsick (Napoli) I must admit a fist pump came out.

My first game was with full pass assist and speed zero and I thought I had to insert a quarter into the side of my TV to play a second match. I agree with everyone who says both need to be selected downwards.

I thought players were a little skatey and got worried when my player and the cpu locked up and neither would move - they began to shutter rapidly - some strange error. Lasted over a full second.

I like the increased player control/response over 2011 but maybe a little too much control in 2012.

Finally, I really liked that you can leave the ball behind mistakenly when dribbling. I tried a quick change of direction by going R1 to R2 close dribble to fool a defender and my player left the ball behind and was trying to stretch a leg while off balance to gather it back - the defender snuck in and stole it. What a great animation. The defender even took a beat to realize before reacting so felt and looked very realistic. A lot of good new animations like the lean away by a defender when the opposing player boots the ball hard for a clearing pass out of the corner. Fun stuff.

I tried your settings in the demo Trenchant and the game is lifelike now.Maybe that is what Konami intended because the players legs don't skit around like the Roadrunner anymore when sprinting.

The animations look much better at this speed.

That assist what your talking about is so your A.I team mated won't do things automatically.Example like when your using the pressure buttom the A.I won't tackle mentally on there own.Or like sometimes the A.I can shoot for you without any input.You won't hardly notice this stuff if either on or off apart from maybe the auto tackle.

so what settings is the author of this thread talking about?

I need to mess with these settings a little more - I did have a few of my AI players pass the ball on a first touch that I didn't expect when I expected to gain control of that player before the AI beat me to a decision to pass. I like these auto features broken down into categories however.

I use pass assist to zero. Had my first online game last night. Fuck me i struggled!. This guy was all over me but i kept my concentration and shape at the back and defended well. I had 1 chance all game and scored lol then gave away a penalty. a 1-1 draw was a good result to me . My passing Wasen't the best. Definately a different game online.. Gonna try those settings though and see what happens!

i brought the game and jumped in to an online game. i was spurs and i played real madrid and i lost 4 0. then i played offline in the champions league and i was spurs v benfica. the computer had 5 free kicks outside the pen area and scored 4 in one game. i lost 7 0 on top player

you have to unlock something in extra content, i forgot the name of the setting, but there's something u have to unlock.

this game is frustrating me really, it needs long time to get the hang of it, the defending is very hard, and every team have players like messi they wander around at will, racing santander beat me (barcelona) 4-0 :S:S, u simply can't get the ball out of their feet....

I do, its a lot like 2011 passing which I am far more accustomed too. It also is visually far more realistic and alloys you to make some amazing passes. In one example I was able to break my opponents defense by making about 35 very very short one touch passes, it looked amazing and for a second I forgot I was playing and wasn't really watching my beloved United. haha

did you try fifa 12? what's ur opinion of it if yes?, do u feel PES 2012 is the game to go for this year or u recommend to try fifa?

man this game is really hard, u can't make a mistake in defense, if you lose possession in ur half, it means goal for the opposition, i've never seen a game as hard as this and ruthless... i'm losing against low teams like sporting gijon i play with barcelona:S...if you don't time well R2 AND A bye bye, end of story..

fifa offline has improved but manager mode feels like it copied ml, there is now scouts, youth team for example
