I cant score headers!!!

i got pes4 on thurs night and i have been playing it as often as possible. But i am struggling with scoring headers, i have not scored one yet. They normally go miles over the bar (even from six yards) or the player doesnt connect properly and it jus rolls out for a goal kick.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated

Try pressing the direction button away from goal, this gives a lower sometimes downward type header if you catch it right! I've scored loads of headers, good luck

I've been struggling with that from the beginning aswell.Its usually with Ruud i struggle but i have struggled with others aswell.I played a few of my m8s and one of them have scored a goal or 2 from a cross. I find that your heading stats should be pretty high,along with jump,and when going for a header try get into space and it should work out for you,also try using the directional buttons aswell!

When taking corners don't put the power bar any higher than halfway. I've never scored a header from a corner unless it's halfway or less.

ok does ANYone in here cross using "double-tapping" the circle button? If not, then please try it, that is the best crossing method in this game. When only using a single tap, the ball is crossed high and slow. Double tapping cross is head-height, faster and much better to score. TRY IT!

Yeah I only ever use the double-tap method. It's become a total habit, I don't even think about it anymore. Triple-tapping can be useful if you want it along the ground, usually gets intercepted though.

I find the single tap is best for counter attacks, when you've got one of your attackers making a run into the box unmarked. One tap of circle and in he runs, and BANG - back of the net! Well it worked often enough for me on PES3

i also use a treble tap when your running into the box also, good for those who make dashing runs to the far post!

A lot of my headers tend to fly over the bar so I'll give this a try:

I've read that you need to aim your header and just tap the shoot button to get headers on target.

Always the double-tap cross for me

And when you aren't running in don't forget :R1: + :R2: to force control your player, I find they normally stand too far forward to really climb and get over the ball so nudge em back a bit
