I did a little BAL test...

And this test proves all those people who say BAL is about skill WRONG.

I used the BAL editor and made really great stats , CR7 alike , made difficulty amateur , did whole season and scored an incredible amount of goals and assists , lead the league , lead the cup in both , won both.

Result of it , was not best player in league or cup , nor in the best 11 team.
Got offers from stoke city and hull city and middlesbrough ....

Amazing huh , by far the most goals and assists in every competition , won every competition yet not even in best 11 team and got offers from weak teams...

Thats proof that BAL is ridicilously flawed and depends only on time and it doesnt matter if your great or not that good you will get good offers , you will get good awards and you will get everything at aproximately the same time , this means its COMPLETELY 100% turned around from reality by all means.

And this is just 1 out of many flaws in BAL which many people mentioned.

It looks like this mode was made by 6 year old kids , god I hope next year they make a complete overhaul because PES is a too good game for such kid modes.

Well, it's only in the first season. That's the only way to make the game harder at first.
BUT after you reach the 4th season, then the real skill begins. But at first, it seems too scripted like you said.

I think the reason why they did this, is to avoid players to be able to "finish" the game, within two seasons.

And whats the point in being the best right from the start? I prefer to start in lesser teams, than be the best player in the world from the first season.

Because it should not be scripted , id much rather have a much harder challenge playing matches and getting good grades and scoring than having a scripted game that has no difference if your average score is 5 or 6 or 7..

After playing a whole season and giving alot of effort and having a better grade I expect offers from a bit better clubs than the worst in the league and that would be a good reward for my effort , but it seems that its not the case so why bother giving my everything and playing as best as I can?

well to my surprise i signed for stoke in 1st season and at 2nd season after winning most assits not goals assits as am a lmf man u and barca newcastle and arsn all came in for me i signed for newcastle as i hate man u and all other london teams bar chelsea now in my 4th season and am in spain playing for madrid and waiting for chelsea to buy me or il stay here and i have been playing it on top player from start so maybe try that and u will see it does work well it did for me ty

you cant just dish out instant sucess though... if they designed the game to be that way then every tom dick and harry would win every single award within 10 years of thier career!!! if you play BAL for long enough you'll see, things work out. i had to eek out 5 years at cagliari before any one decent came in for me. and it sounds like your good enough to play top player mode anyway...

out of interest, what were the stat increases like after all the goals and assists in games? and what sort of ratings were being dished out? still 8.0?

I agree about scriptness. I don't like it. But in the first season especially, the game has to be harder like it is. Otherwise you will become the best player from start. I'm in the 4th season and I didn't win the world best player award. Guess what. I was disappointed, but it actually makes me play it more till I win.
Though the scriptness is not a good thing. The next game can be hard, but not scripted. That's a complaint about pes 09.

Yea but what I mean is I would like to have a more challenging game , so at the start you would have a incredible hard time getting good ratings and you would have to play with all your knowledge and skill , also I noticed ratings are mostly affected by dribbling distance which is very dumb imho. But if you would be rewarded for your great plays then it would make all your effort be worth it and you would actually enjoy the game, and Im not saying you should get best player and everything at the start , I said that I tested it and I saw you are not able to be even in top 11 team if you score 3 times more goals than anyone else which essentialy means your skill doesn't matter , no matter what season you are at.

and stat increases were very low especially on those skills I put on 90+ or 95+ , and ratings were mostly 8.0 alot of games , just on the start I got a few 8.5's when i was a sub and scored a few times.

^Scoring is not everything you know.
I was in best 11 in season 3 but that's because I had a great seasn. Sure I scored many goals, but you have to have many man of matches and be decisive. I bet that to be in the best 11, you have to work harder than the AI players but that's to make BAL harder. Otherwise there won't be a challenge.
Also distance dribbled happens to have a big imapct on real life match ratings, just like in pes 09.
