Well Hazey makes good points, and unclfredo i very much like, both of you are saying what you feel abotu the game, and the reasons that you feel this,

for those who are not aware, this is called an EDUCATED opinion.

most of the others are just whining like bitches its embarrassing, who held a gun to your head and told you to buy pro and said "enjoy it or die", unless your life is extremely fucked up, i dont see why that would be the case.

so just fix up and find a new hobby, dont just come here and talk stupidness take a leaf out of the above two mentioned names and come back with something smart, or not at all.

I would say I'm pretty damn good at the game also - I can only judge online from PES07 when you can play online but I was top 100 with around 500 games played. I play on Top Player and in the last one and easily win all titles in ML mode. Does that qualify?

PES2009 is still better than FIFA2009 in terms of playing football. If you can put 6 past your mate, he's not very good at all. You obviously haven't played the game because in PES09 as opposed to 08, running with the ball is alot harder. Aren't you thinking FIFA? All you have to do there is get a fast player, gas past a defender and tuck it into the bottom corner everytime.

The fact you actually manage to say nothing constructive or concrete in your post only shows that you're either trying to win people up, or you're genuinely not very smart - which is quite clearly shown, by your own admission, that you're burning your copy. Muppet.

but what i do know is pes2009, the game 2008 with more options. i think if you take out the lag in pes2008 and give it 2009's options its a better game i'm sorry.

my players intercept my passes!! the defenders reactions are awful, they keep running out of position it's like i got no control.

shooting and passing is poor, i'm sorry it's either hit or miss, and players take a millenium to shoot and pass.

and they do these fake sharp turns at a ridiculous angle my players always seem to get baffled by it. so i do it now, and you can still run through teams.

the AL is crap it keeps interfering with my game play. players make stupid runs, or they don't run.

if you think this game is great your blinded. i've played pes from since snes so if you try to tell me i'm talking shit, you must be licking the sweat between konami's ass.

konami has to improve i've been too loyal, but i'm seriously thinking of withdrawing my support.

i too know what i'm on about, i'm not gonna go into my background, EA are doing what any other company do, its obvs ther gonna advertise ther game at them slots, and the thing they are advertising is a major new thing in online football gaming, plus its nothing new with EA they've been doing it years so konami have had ther chance. plus dont make out that konami are a little company, yes they are smaller than EA, but EA is small to konami in the east wer EA is bigger in the west

as for adverst tho, pro evo have a lengthy ad out also

as for it being not like a patch, mate have you seen what guys like you and me can do theses days with modding, take unreal tornamount as a perfect example, wer talking about programmers at konami with years of experience

I know it doesn't make sense when you have a company like Konami who produce a game like MGS4 then try at football and its not all there. But their trying. They don't need to bother with advertisements. They can just release a demo, job done. They have fans all over the world. All of the PES fans will do the advertising for them, their not stupid. EA are just flashing their cash, when instead they could spend more time into finishing their products or giving the developers a deadline they can reach with a finished product and not something that will flop at the first hurdle!

Can someone reassure me that pes 2009 gets better the more you play?!

I've played about 15 games so far and it just doesnt feel right yet...feels scrappy no matter how hard i try to play nice football.

As for option files, that's all well and good for you lucky ps3 and £1000 pc owners but the camera is next to useless for xbox.

Every other pes games gets better, the better you get the better the game gets..PES 2009 does not. by the time your kicking ass at top player (com) level you should have atleast thought about saving a goal..!!! if it was 2008 i would of saved some of my goals.. but that volly from outside of the box just didnt feel valid...:no:

The following might sound like I hate PES, but trust me I dont. I think its waaaay better than FIFA. I only care about gameplay, not bothered about sock lengths (lol) and team licensing, but heres what I hate about PES 09 :

RED CARDS -

Played 3 Online matches before, over those 3 games I saw 4 red cards for great tackles (1 for me , 3 for my opponents). Ive only played a few offline games and the CPU got a ridiculous red card in one of them - clean tackle with many covering defenders in behind

BAD DECISIONS -

Im sick of great tackles being punished, i was hoping this would have been sorted out but unbelievably its got a lot worse this year

FINISHING -

dont get me wrong im not one for easy finsihing (like FIFA) but the finishing is sometimes a bit wierd. players love to hit it wide from close range. also, the silly toe pokes are annoying when u dont want to finish that way

players diving for a header instead of vollying it even when u've let the ball drop to near the feet

oh and for like the 6th PES in a row - when are are you going to be able to chip the keeper properly?? even when the keeper is quite a bit off his line, it either goes waaay over the bar or the keeper reaches it (unless the ball is bouncing)

AWARDED FREE KICKS / DELAY

when a free kick is awarded and the ball has moved (thus not allowing you to take a quick free kick) the game waits for too long without letting you carry on

KEEPERS KICKING

although its got a bit better - why can u still not direct kicks out of the keepers hands properly - how many years has this not been corrected now?

and a new one this year - WHY do keepers now attempt to slide for backpasses when a simple clearance is all u want. Thats happened and cost me 3 goals already


ONLINE

Im not sure whether the online is going to be improved and what things are going to be corrected with the update but at the moment Online is ridiculous

Even though there is generally less lag than 2008, the lag that exists seems to have more of an effect on general play.

As I mentioned before, im not sure whether silly red cards are being given online only (possibly due to lag) but theyve ruined a lot of my online games already.

Ive seen some very strange offside decisions ie. 10 yards onside being given as off

Players ghosting passed you when uve read the play perfectly

Not being able to control the movemnet of ur player properly

Online is generally quite sluggish, and the LOADING AND WAITING TIMES!!!!! bloddy hell! talk about fustrating. Have u tried having a second player stand over the free kick?? - dont bother - u will wait about 9 years

While Im on the online subject - WHY DO PEOPLE INSIST ON WATCHING EVERY REPLAY???? PRESS START FOR F**K SAKE

But liverpool are absolutley monsters in this game!! i love them as i do in real life!!
