No kidding.

I love BAL, as a gamemode. It's really fun being one in a team. But the thing is, it often feels like it's you and a bunch of knobheads from kindergarten.

Example:

I'm facing a very lacklustre St. Etienne with a squad that has won the league twice and the UEFA cup once. We SHOULD be able to dominate the match but yet, we end up having a posession rate of around 40%. Why?

Whenever I get the ball (as a lone CF, placed VERY high up), I'm ALWAYS alone. Always. I literally have wait for up to 2 seconds before I can pass the ball to someone. And when I do, they usually end up running it straight into a player from the other team or mispassing it.

Whenever we're in an actual attack, with plenty of players on the go, the defenders of the other team gets superpowers and runs by me like nothing, turns around, sends the ball downfield and we end up kicking out of bounds (why do my players always kick it out of bounds?).

The teammates cannot mark. For anything. They also don't understand the meaning of defensive strategies since they're usually clamped up in the box whenever the opposition is attacking.

I do love BAL as a gamemode. It's really fun sometimes. But if you wanna play a top striker and you DON'T wanna get uberly bored, don't join a team that plays a 4-5-1 or something of the like.

To prove Pes is actually the better game i'd like to see atleast 3 high end Magazines or web sites that say Pes is the better game.

Ill save you some time by telling you there arent any because fifa is amazing this year. Pes' AI is almost worth selling pes for let alone the mountain of crap you have to deal with like lack of everything and shit graphics beyond comprehension.

To say Pes is a good game is so in dinial you must be clinicly insane or on heavy doses of dodgy medication. Most likely though, a complete bellend.

The 6 people i converted to Pes from Fifa have all got Fifa this year,had it for months and absolutely love it. If Pes was on offer for £2.99 or less i wouldnt buy it. The gameplay is just so lame-arse and dull and boring and samey that anything like edit mode or ML that is half decent is made completely redundent.

game reveiws and their reveiwers ,SONIC the HEDGEHOG 92% but yet ppl could play that and complete that title in a day ,it was actually known to be riddicuously easy but it still scored highly

now take into account you have played the PES series since 2000? natually you will find it easy its been nearly 10 years of playing the same game ,thats why fifa seems new and exciting and pes disapointing ,even on manual passing on fifa to compensate for the shocking AI its still average ,you will be bored in 3 months never mind 10 years

pes is disapointing for so many reasons ,the fludity of the game has gone thats the one aspect of the game where fifa kicks its ass and why a lot a ppl beleive fifa to be the better game ,that in it self is a message to seabass and konami even then it wont win fans back because of the shocking online experience these are the two major draw backs of pes

On the other hand, you play FIFA07 and then play FIFA09 -and- it is clear that this series has progressed.

That's pretty much the bottom line in my opinion. Regardless of which game is the better one between FIFA09 and PES09. Fact remains that FIFA has progressed, and PES has not.

So naturally, fans of the PES series are both disappointed and preoccupied about the future of the series. Konami is not showing any hints of progress, a Champions League License and a couple of New Modes will not change nor cover that fact.

PES 09 have definitively right direction, and sorry, but it is better then PES 6.. I got both games, so why shell i stick with 09 if i got patched PES 6? The answer is easy.. PES 09 got different aspects, which are probably more important then the ones from PES 6..

Don´t warry.. You must not forget that market is big.. Football games just few.. And as I set times and times before, there are some people which quietly enjoying PES how it is now, couse last step from previous year was the biggest one so far, there are big tournaments going in PES in my home.. If i tried to put there FIFA, it was about 10 mins after when PES went back to 360.. It have to be intuitive, best football will be one, which can play your mates which just passing by.. Fifa is exactly oposite and everything else than just simple.. That´s why I play Fifa when i am alone, couse there is some chalanges to learn.. After you learn it, game looks nice, but before that it´s looking three times worst than PES + Shoots looks much better in pes..

The only improvement in PES09 is in the Graphics and in the Shooting. Everything else isn't as good as PES6 or PES5, which are the best versions IMO.

You can say whatever you want, but FACT remains that the sales have dropped, and that reflects how the public feels about PES09.

- Zero Additions to the Gameplay.

Its all about the gameplay really, FIFA 09 is next generation PES 2009 cant even beat the old PS2 versions.

PES had a great run, ive played it since about 1997, but its over now, EA apparently went and took some top PES developers anyways and thats why FIFA has made incredible steps forward this year.

I cant lie to myself and pretend PES is some massive challenge and the most realistic version of soccer you can buy, because thats bullshit. Anyhow i went back to it now, I would master it ASAP, (I was going about 3/4 whole seasons unbeaten in master league on PES 4/5 anways on the highest level) cos there is nothing to it.

Press X, cpu either decides ball is on target or it isnt. AI decides to cheat, or it doesnt, its not like the game is super skilled or anything and requires major levels of skill, any cunt who takes eto and runs has a chance at a skilled player.

Thats why I move to the other game, Because the AI makes real runs, keeps the ball, marks space instead of mindless rushing, there are proper midfield tactical battles and most of all, its for skilled players, any barca bum boys who take a player and run to the byline, this game is not for you.

No doubt that all the 2D players, "Barca bum boys" and monkeys will prefer pes, they will find it harder to adapt to fifa due to their awareness..

Their brains will be processing the game differently from other people and clicking into the timing of fifa will not work as easily, the more ridgid and basic you played pes the less you will ba able to adapt to fifa...

All about having an understanding of how to play...for me and you Tech_skill we have a COMPLETE understanding from where we are as we have some what come from where they are...hindsight, 3dimensional thinking can undertstand everything 2dimensional but 2dimensional can only understand 3dimensions in a 2 dimensional way...!!!

So unless people start to look past their own boundaries they just arent going to get it...

i now understand where you are coming from ,your really complaining about dribbling being too easy and ppl scoring cut back goals ,it is a fair point ,it feels cheap

but not just that you feel you have to educate people to not use that style of play
as it ruins the spirit and competitiveness from the game

this sort of player can ruin a whole days entertainment the only consolation i can give you is i hate that part of the game too ,it destroys the formation you have worked hard to prepare

but then something clicked into me ,dribbling is a huge part of football and these players are invaluable ,thats realistic even tho the cutback isnt ,so the only way i could get my head round it mentally was to tell myself if i was a good player i would be able to defend against it ,even with newcastles crappy defence ,it made me defencively more aware and organised ,it got to the point where i deliberatley would target barcelona players let them click barca i`ll click newcastle

i still got caught out like that ,espicially with the lag issue ,and naturally the hahahahaha followed but having the oppisotte style i dont dribble at all i pass all the time ,sometimes i over pass ,but i always keep it one touch and maybe delay one pass in four to time for runners infeild or overlapping ,and ive got to be really honest with you ,i used to get a sadistic pleasure grinding him into the dust and passing him off the park with simple passing and good team play ,i even used to taunt them in chat

a good passer always beats a good dribbler

or if i was losing ,game called sprintball now?

but the most smug feeling came at full time ,when i clicked "that was satisfying" or "good game" and them not replying
