I find every game different in Fifa, and although i score quite a lot of breakaway goals, one on one, there is generally a fair bit of variety in my play. More and more as time goes on in fact. I love using manual cross/lob pass, you can score some banging volleys. I'm getting my long range efforts on target more now as well, although the keeper saves most of them. And i can use the pace control/trick stick to skin people quite regularly. It's just a lot of fun mastering the intricacies bit by bit. In a couple of years i should be a Fifa master like I was on Pro Evo (up until this year when i sacked it off).
i fink that fifa is too easy. i think that pro evo is much more realistic and the gameplay is much better. Also the goals on fifa are the same all the time at least on pro u can score a variety of goals from anywhere on the pitch. The only thing that makes fifa any good is the licences without them they are nothing

there are just too many breakaway and one on one goals in fifa, it's just ridiculous. At times it feels like I'm playing american football and running for a touchdown.

I think that facts speak louder than words in this matter.. and Konami aren't fooling anyone.
When "PSM3 Demands Reboot For PES Series" and "PES Sales Figures Make Depressing Reading" you know that PES is not in good shape.
Would "PSM3" demand improvements if PES09 was any good?? I just think there are too much negatives for PES09 to be considered anything "positive". According to the facts "PES is a series in decline".
Fact is that regardless of the Online, or the Licenses, etc, etc.. The thing that always sold PES was The Gameplay. If PES09 had The Gameplay, PES09 would've sold the same number of copies as before.

I hate this piece of shit game!! I'v always been a pes guy and given fifa a chance but its just too cartoon like.
My main problem like 95% of other complaints is online mode. I'm sick of constantly feeling cheated by playing barcelona 9/10 times only to be beaten by a shitty last minute goal which is a messi header against giant defenders. It makes absoluty no sense. Yes he is on the cover but do they need to make him imortally better than every single other player?
In future games it would be an idea to limit the number of times you can go a certain team within a 24 hour period?
Another thing would be to crack down on the amount of spanish, italian, french arseholes who come into the english rooms an fuck up everyones games with their shite connections. It makes me think if they can actually read or are they just simply ignorant retards?
Why, oh why do people select the random option for conditions? Would we not get a better equal game when all our players are normal? Why take the chance of having your best player playing as if hes just watched his mum gettin shot in the face and your reserve keeper with a condition as if hes just won the euro millions rollover? It benefits NO-ONE and is another of the many factors that just ruins the game!!
Players are constantly unresponsive. I pass to them and their reaction to run to the ball is delayed by a second or two. This is also evident when defending. I have unstoppable Eto'o racing towards me when I select my defender to persue him. Yet when selected, instead of pulling his finger out and doing his job he just stands there like a gonk giving him an extra head start before he decides to start running.
No matter who I go the prick that Im playing will pick barca 9 times out of 10. Why? Are you that pathetic that you have to rely on one of the many over rated teams in the game? and don't give me the "yea but i actually support them" line. Not every single person from spain supports barcelona. Get a grip and stop glory hunting.
Whats worse is that they have no clue about football. they will play hleb RB just so its someone else with a bit of pace. These pricks are always the ones who straight from kick off will run with etoo straight to the by line just to cut it back for henry to tap it into an empty net then go on to continually press "Impressive!" and "Goal!" for the duration of the WHOLE replay.

Completely agree..
I feel as though the game could and should educate people, maybe teach them a thing or two about Football, force them into playing realistically -instead- of just offering an easy and one-dimensional game that encourages one-dimensional play.
I don't even think much of the off-line game, it isn't as good as it used to be.. which is why I would rather play the PS2 versions; PES6 or PES5.

I am amazed this thread is still going. I'd have thought those that didn't like the game would post on here, then move on and play another game. The amount of posts about how much people don't like PES is meaning that threads with an actual point, like help with certain aspects, or comparing progress, are getting pushed down.

yeah it sucks right.. But then again, disappointing products will have disappointed customers, it's a reality of life.

When they release a solid PES title, I'll make sure I leave plenty of "positive" comments.

Konami really need to take positive action, expecially to improve the gameplay. Many of the fans claim that this game is a good one. Ok, this is fair. Everyone has their own taste. But refer to the facts that Konami's sales has been going down, and more fans moved to EA, it is a strong indication that Konami isn't doing any better in their new release.
I visit other major PES/WE forums, and find that many people actually have feel dissapointed with Konami. Mainly because of the online play and the frustration with the gameplay. We are not FIFA fans or supporter who purposely give baseless negative comments about Konami. We are one of the die hard fans of WE/PES series. Just that we started to feel dissapointed with Konami.

In many cases, its the guys who played it from day one that are most upset, as they have seen the transition of the game since the late nighty's.

Maybe I should have spent more time with itI rented it and thought it was ok but still prefered PES. I keep hearing if you can master manual controls it adds another layer. Not sure I will do that since I enjoy PES.
This is the truth.
If anyone wants to cross over to Fifa this year, THEY NEED TO PLAY THE GAME PROPERLY AND AT LENGTH.
If your a Pro evo fanboy ( like i once was) and your have every setting on assisted or casual controls (CPU helping you) then start complaining, that makes no point, you are not exploiting the game, at least put some the controls on semi- so you have to weight a pass and you will find trouble when you step up against big team on world class and legendary.
It takes so much time to learn a new style of play, if anyone wants to give it a go, give it a go properly.
It still amazes me how certain people claim Fifa is so easy and how great they are at it. Yet they turn to a game with 8 directional movement, where they have little control over passing, player movement and shooting and claim this is really difficult. lmao

-More in depth master league
