I finally got the real reason from konami about why Pro evo 4 isnt online for ps2

He just gave you the reason we new even before this e-mail. And that's how professional customer service works. You ask them something and they give you obvious reason or similar, pretty much just to get rid of you.
And to tell you the truth, I personally think that his reason is pure BS!!!
I'm not really sure that more people actually play more XBL than Online Network on PS2 (since latter is for free).
And if that is the truth and that the reason for putting PES4 online is just because there are more online players who use the XBox than PS2, why haven't then they put WE8 in Japan online for PS2, since in Japan I know for a fact that there are more online players on PS2 than Xbox???
Please ask him this if you haven't sent an e-mail already.

This is pure business. no hard feelings for ps2 owners(like me).
What we do? we are crazy about this game! we really enjoy playing vs our friends and we alweys have dreamt playing vs other players such now its internet and make part of a world wide rating system.
Shall we get an xboX like blind birds going into a trap and spend double money( we already got a top console with pes saga), why should we move now to other?
just cos pes4 goes live on that xbox...
cant sony+microsoft get some peace over this with konami as embassador and make a live system compatible with both xbox and ps2?
they can do it since bill gates created windows....open one xbox, open other ps2! easy billy!!
or do konami expect from us to play their game. buy pes twice both xbox and ps2 , play with us, now live for xbox, next year pes5 only for ps2 cos xbox....some BS they'll say.
next year pes6 for ps3(if its come out) only or xbox2 (if comes out..).
I'm fucking pissed about this, i dont think there are more xbox than ps2 on our houses, i really doubt that.
This year PES3 for ps2 have sold more than 350.000 copies here in spain only!
There is no game of xbox which come closer to this rate...

In brief either Konami or Sony sux due to dont getting an agreement about PES4 online version for PS2.
I love the idea for PS4 online, the only bad thing ...it's on the wrong console for the mayority of us, PS2 has triplicated xboX solds in Europe...
Konami sign up some comisiong with Microsoft of course.

He knows xboX no boom boom here in Europe, so he comes , sees, and conquers.
He sees that best and most sold videogame its PES3 for PS2/PC, and that Sony is having troublesome with the "live" thing.
So he goes to Konami offer them a low percentage of benefits per xBox solds above last year total solds rate.
And.-....Deal my dear!!!
more $$$$$$$ for a son of bitch which swims in a pool full of $ 1.000 bills ....

Exclusive third party games are a lot worse than having online capabilities in 1 game!
There are excelent (third party) games out there that are exclusives to one console only and it affects a lot of people! I understand that people are bitter about this, since it's something people desire for some time, but if you think about it, it's a lot worse not having the game at all, like gamecube owners! And don't say that just because there are more PS2 owners that PS2 deserves everything. Afterall, we're equal as consumers.
Keep in mind that PES is not a first party game! You just can't expect any kind of loyalty! It's all business and contracts. Don't think Konami is betraying PS2 owners, cause it has nothing to do with it.

actually there are more xbox live users than there are on network play, sorry to correct you but there are now over a MILLION players worldwide and also that number will double with the release of HALO2 in Noevember.
Also what's 40 quid a year to anybody when the online expericene is quality, you get what you pay for and thats why network play is free and konami picked xbox live
