Konami cannot buy all of the licences as they are mostly currently owned by EA - and when they will next be available to buy you can bet on EA paying more and winning them again. EA put their money into the licences, Konami put it into the gameplay. Notice how EA's recent games have been quite blatent attempts to become more PES-like.

We can also thank the greedy English FA for the way they sell their licences so that only EA can include every Premiership team in their games and the other games can only have a max of 2 licenced premiership teams. And then the FA even complain that people are making the official logos in edit mode.

i have taken a dislike to EA , to me they just seem to worry more about getting licences for games like the FIFA series .. and recently The Godfather Game .

Game play Comes second , I got The Godfather the other day and although I am playing it I dont think it will have much replay value , its very much story lead .

The cut scenes are nice and the story flows , But its not as if they wrote the Godfather story , or came up with any really cool new ideas that have not been seen in other games .

They have tried to copy Grand Theft Auto's gameplay , and although its playable , its not as fun as GTA. Theres not many car models and the pedestrians look all the same .

once again its EA selling a game on the licence they have spent lots of money on . Its a shame that Big Film Company's and Sports Associations dont look at what Players want and look at Companys who produce Good Gameplay , Like Konami .

Maybe we should write a letter to all the football Associations telling them how much EA sucks :p

The Edited kits on PES5 are better then FIFA06. At least Everton has a Elephant and not a Rhino and they have this years kit and not last years. Oh and at least the players dont have Fat Plasticine heads. Footbal is like PES5. Easy to learn tricky to master.
