I got PES 2008 two months ago. And I couldn't put down my controller. The gameplay was way better than FIFA 08. And it felt more realistic. I know alot of people hate PES 2008 but I am enjoyng it.

ha, good to hear :)

Have you managed to get a chance to play the demo of 2009 yet ? ... If your loving 2008 so much, theres no need for you to dive into 2009 yet... abuse 2008 until u feel you need a new challenge .. Pro2009 will be sitting waiting for ye

i could understand if you liked pro evo 5/6 beter than fifa, but pro evo 2008? that was garbage!

^Not garbage, but it wasn't as good as it was suppsed to be. Pes 09 will be the best pes game ever though.

Never underestimate the weirdness of people I guess. FIFA is the best it's ever, and for first time in a long while is truly a quality game. While PES is rotting away.

What a strange timing for that particular switch.

I love when folk say PES is rotting away, like I keep saying, this is only the 2nd proper attempt at a next gen game, how many attempts did EA have? 6-7 was it? and how many were shit? 5-6 of them, so give PES a chance to get used to next gen before slating it.

I'd hardly say PES is rotting away! I must admit, i wasnt blown away by the demo but it has been tweaked from the last pro. If the BAL mode is as entertaining as it sounds like it could be and the online mode has none of the lag of the last edition, PES2009 will be the best pro yet and will, imo, still be better than FIFA. FIFA has made great strides but, tbh, it had to as pro was so far ahead. Now both are good games, but pro still shades it and this is before they truly manage to get to grips with the "next" generation. Hopefully PES2010 will see a big stride forward and, if it does, FIFA will quite possibly be left well behind again

at this point in time it looks as if you are right dude :fplm:

Unless Konami starts working 12 months a year on the next installment, and not 2months while jerking off the other 10 fifa will surpass our beloved pro series

I agree with what u say but i think next years FIFA will probably be better than this years so it will be quite close between PES & FIFA again i think.

I know Fifa promised a completely revamped manager mode for 2010, so Konami better shape up with the ML next year or Fifa will prevail again.

y is it amazing? altho pes 2008 was considered a "disapointment" in terms of pes standards, it was still way more playable than fifa 08. The gameplay in pes games are miles ahead of fifa 1s!

Fifa is shit, and never will be considered anywhere near as good as pes........

I have to admit I have bought FIFA 09 today and I'm disappointed. They have removed edit kit number from team management, admittedly added more features but removing the kit number edit facility makes it laughable when you sign new players you can't assign a kit number, they automatically get number 2. As for game play it is easy to score even on world class mode. Disappointed and I'll certainly be swapping it for PES 09 having played the demo and PES > FIFA.
