Recently I bought PES4 (PC) but its so damn hard 3* which should be a normal level. Im so pissed I think Ive gathered more hate than Bin ladin.
I experience the game really unfair...I play with FC Barcelona. I used to be really good in WE6 in XBOX and PS2 I always won at the hardest level.

For me its really hard to unposses the computer. But for computer its a piece of cake. I always call for help but the computer holds them off really easy...
Each time they attack, they attack in 100´s and when I win the ball (rarely) suddenly they are all back defending, so when I have reached their half I have only 2-3 players to pass, all my team are still back and it takes ages for them to join the attack and when they do its a big meat wall in opponents area so no shots go through its hard to dribble through, they always win the headers etc....
Weaker teams they are faster, stronger in everyway. They always catch up with me in an instant but for me it takes ages to catch up with a player.......what am I doing wrong....
Gratefull for any kind of help..

Hi, I also recently upgraded from PES3 to 4 (PC version). I play with 4* in PES4 and I found sliding tackle in PES4 is much more difficult to execute. The computer is so precise in attacking and it seems it is very easy to made through balls to the baseline.

I also found 4* much harder than 3* in PES4.

Check out http://www.pesmoves.com/ and try to master all of the moves listed there.
Go to Training mode and try to complete all of the training challenges. If you are playing league or cup matches, play the players on better form arrows and drop those who are on bad arrows. If playing in exhibition matches, try playing with your team on all red-up arrows and play the opposition on green arrows. As you get better, adjust the arrows to make it more difficult. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Im practicing the moves and training, but what could I do tactic wise? Strategy etc.. to get my teammates to join attack and so on.

default tactics are pretty ok. but try playin ssome crossing game if you have tall players. also have a diamond midfield, I always play like that. :)

thank you for the tips

Does the tactics and strategies have a bigger influence on CPU or human opponent?

I've had the same problem for ages. My players just seem to hang around and wait, never seem to find space. I played a master league season of star **. The time and space of the lower level allowed me to really get a better feel for the controls. Don't play *** and battle along, you can win and still not improve your game. It just doesn't give you enough time to start perfecting the skills you'll need. If you're not hammering 3 or 5 goals past ** star each time, you might as well keep practising.

One tip that isn't mentioned much is become a good passer. What most players do is move their player in the direction they want to pass and hit X (called telegraphing your pass in real football). Change your style a little. Press X while travelling, before you release, move your pad into the direction you want to pass. What happens is the player is moving in one direction but plays a dinky pass in another. The defenders have less time to organise and they don't seem to make you turn so much. Sorry if this sounds a bit obvious, but perfecting it really improved my game. The same tactic can be used for shooting.

Sorry for one more obvious tip. Don't be tempted to just dribble one player down the length of the pitch on 2 **. You can do it but it's not good practice, as the higher levels will just laugh at your attempts at Maradona full pitch dribbles.

I think that 3* is more difficult than 5* Beacause on 5* computer is agressive and its easy to dribble him and the comp fouls a lot. Its easier to score for me.

as for your opponent being back in defense before you move out, not everytime but sometimes, when he's pressuring you in your zone, it's good to get out with a long ball, preferably with L1 + O, then you catch the defense kinda off guard.

for headers, I just started using R2, and it works really well. with R2 + analog/directional you can freely move your player while the ball is in the air. but i think the trick is to not do this while the ball is in the air and let your player position himself automatically, and then right before the ball comes to your player battling with the opponent, right before, you use that free move to just step infront of the computer guy to win the header.

this works for me to get most of computer's defensive clearances. i think it works different on offense.

When your counter attacking, or attacking in general. You can't use L1 enough, hold it down when your about to pass the ball.

try to have a target man as a center forward, so u can play 1 - 2s off him or pass it directly to him and then play back to your midfeilders.

when defending, u can hold [] if you want to but make sure your covering the computer controlled teammate's position - try to avoid defending by holding square and then trying to "double team" the comp when hes on the ball. Youll start creating holes in your own defense and when you start playing 5*'s + and Other People, you'll get punished.

Just play like teams do in real life "more or less"

Thanks Guys!! Ive gone down one level and practicing alot. Using the tips has improved my game alot.
One other thing there are alot of offencive moves in pesmoves webpage but not so many defensive moves when trying to take the ball. I have noticed that Computer sometimes grabs my players shoulders and pulls himself infront and then easily taking the ball, or running alongside and tapping me somehow so I lose controll etc. How can I do that cause I tend to endup behind the computer and running after them with no chance to pass them so I can tackle from front!
Thx again y´all

At the start don't try taking on players for two reasons

Master League players turn like crusie ships
The computer is alot better to get past than pro 3

Jus pass around the computer at the start this helps you get used to pro 4, don't jus hope running at pace and turnin at the rite time will work cus it doesn't. Also if you got into stratergy you can set your formation so certain players hold back and certain stay forward i do this by holding 3 plus two mids back and holdin 4 players up the pitch for counter attacks.

If your using master league players don't attempt to run with the ball because their low and extremly unresponsive use one two and through balls, pes4 is near enough a new game so most of the tricks and technqiues u used in pes3 won't work, new game , new start

yeah...i think 3* in pes4 equal to 5* in pes 4....it's very hard to score a goal.....in master league 85 % of my goals are scored through cross ball and i'm very depending on it, one thing that piss me off....why in master league default team there's no good player to take a penalty..my chances to score from penalty kick with ML default player are 3:1, except i aiming it to the center.

Use the R2 button to jockey and slow up the pace of the attack and then use pressure 2 to get another man to help get the ball off the attacker. Try to use more than one formation to help with movement and attacking. Use manual settings on as many options as you feel comfortable with; i.e. cursor, strategies etc.

Hope this helps ;)
