I dont understand why the editing is limited on the next gen! and how come there is only 15 stadiums!

I mean the next gen has more memory, so I dont understand why next gen has less features then the current gen

Might have something to do with the fact that the more memory it does have is being used on the stadiums/game effects to make them look better than current gen.

Although, I do see your point, and have wanted to get the proper answer myself.

It seems to be happening quite a bit with games on current and next gen...there's always something extra available on current gen, when you'd expect it to be the other way around.

It's because to do these features fully with the new systems power would take even more time so it seems the developers put out what they can to make the release and stuff the consumers.

Unfortunately this is very much the case.

At this stage, next gen is still very much trapped within the previous generation. This may be the case for a little while longer until the developpers figure out the whole next gen capabilities and fully explore them. Little ground has been broken. Nothing yet has used the full power of next gen, that said certain games have used new elements to an extent. This is all down to publishers having to meet unrealistic deadlines. We all expected to see PES by October/November, when really it shouldn't even have come out yet in my opinion. There's so much more development that could have gone into it, but time and resources are beyond most developpers in this day and age and it's all about money (of course) and meeting the neeeds of consumers by any means necessary even if their game is sub-par.

Lazy and Money, thats the answer. At the end of the day, people buy PES as it is always one of the years most anticipated games, so from the developers point of view they really dont have to try that hard as they know that the market really only has 2 football games , and each game has its own faithfull following. I have bought every version of PES that has been released, and i dont listen to any reviews/ previews about them before i do, i know my mates are the same too. This is where the problem lies, if there were 5 or 6 good quality football games to choose from each year, then Konami would really have to sort these issues out or people would say " fuck you Seabass , i am buying something else" until there is more competition in the football game market i feel we will never get the game i our hard earned money deserves.
