Obviously you don't have the same passion for football as other people the Dale. As good as games like COD are, they are very limited when it comes to memorable moments. PES of the past, and now Fifa, offer special moments and a chance to recreate what you see in the professional game. I'm quite happy to just have Fifa for my PS3 right now and get rid of everything else. In fact i just got rid of MGS4 and Resistance 2 because i can't be doing with stories. Unless it's Final Fantasy.

Agreed.. PES6 was the best 50 bucks I've ever spent. No story game can provide the same replay value.

As for PES09, it just isn't as good as the PES of Old. And to that we can add the fact that Konami have not added a single new feature to The Gameplay.

I also play Football, like maybe 3 or 5 times a week.. that's one of the reasons why I'm so interested with Football "Simulation". Although I'm loosing interesting more and more after each year, I expected better by now.

And I think it will get there, but very very slowly. Making maximum profit with minimum effort.

Pro Evo never used to get boring or require a rest. Me and my mate splayed it every single day pretty much for around 6-7 years. ANd now i do the same with Fifa 09. The truth is that PES09 is just not good enough to hold your interest over a sustained period.

I got bored quicker with the last two versions of PES compared to 09. 09 is still in my console everyday, and I haven't even started playing ML yet, so I think the longevity will be the longest out of any version so far for me. :D

Pes 2008 was the most boring. I won't play it again (apart from the time to see how it was). But I get bored of every pes game (and every game for that matter), so I won't be surprised if I get bored of pes 09.
But I only survive a week without playing pes, because it wins me back. Yes, even pes 09. I'm sure.
At least it's my favourite pes game.

what i also find strange is that when people start talking about how shit the game is and point out all the errors and then say its boring i seem to notice what people are saying and then i will just not play the game anymore cause ive noticed the faults myself now and true its boring

I finally converted my best mate back in England over the weekend. I've been trying for months but he was so diehard Pro Evo (like myself, but i was less of a fanboy) i just couldn't pull it off. He bought it, played it for a couple of hours and fucked it off. Then i got him to play online with me on the PS3 of another mate who i'd converted. This time he played fore 5 minutes and was like "Nah, it's fucking shit, fuck this." I of course kept telling him it would take time and that he'd see that i was right in the end, but he was having none of it.

Then suddenly on Saturday he informs me out of nowhere, kind of shamefully, that he's traded Pro Evo in for Fifa. Wahoo!!!!!! With myself and the geez in question being the 2 best players in our big group, the rest of them will now break down and convert in mass. Happy days!

you need to take some break....2 or 3 days...you will feel better. Normally i will play 15mins play time (first half) in top player...but i will cut down to 5 min when against some not important game.

in other way, i would like to mentioned that, Konami must totally change or overhaul the concept of master league. i didn't demand konami put a lot of new concept to Ml, but at least give us some realism of game mode such as real currency, real schedule and date ( follow All fifa and euro league fixture date), more depth in transfer negotiation, more control on player training, injury recovery, and able to looking for sponsor, take charge of club sales, stadium and facilities upgrading and hire staff.......and more........

I wonder what konami will change or put in for pes2010....but one thing for sure, konami need to improve the gameplay and overhaul the ML concept, otherwise, a lot of pes fans will go for fifa.

On the subject of how long you can play the game before it gets old, my point is that BAL has effectively doubled the longevity for me. However, it remains to be seen if I will still have as much interest when I start up ML, especially since there have been no major significant (positive) changes to ML, from what I have heard.

That being said, it's a good point by YKL that the ML should be overhauled. This would certainly add to the longevity, but more than that I think if you want to add lasting appeal to the series that Online needs to be straightened out, and some new fun modes similar to ML added. This would extend the lasting appeal of the game almost indefinitely, especially if the gameplay is even marginally improved (IMO) for 2010.

I agree that t master league is easy to win after awhile its only because player stats on your team go up alot wen u win so eventually u become unbeatable.
Try playing in a normal league where you get league matches and the offical champions league too, oh and you get cup games to. Then if u win all three trophys on this mode then u r good. but still u could raise t other teams stats to make it a harder season.
