i didnt want to post this on someone else's post as it will probably just get lost in the thread.
but...
i'm starting to get the feeling that people are expecting more out the game that may not be realistic.
some things they can fix is the shooting, this year the shots are going too high, last year was too low. and i'm sure something can be done about the com controlled players but not too much so the computer knows exactly what you want your com controlled teammates to do, this just isnt possible. and it isnt going to be possible to control your teammates and your player at the same time, its going to involve more buttons than are on the controller or holding down several buttons at once (a shoulder and d-button for teammate and a button and d-button for you, and that would just be for a basic move and pass let alone dummys or special skills).
they can also make the game a lot deeper with loads of complete leagues and realistic competitions (from league then qualifying for europe (uefa cup and cl) then the world club cup) so this would take about 20 plus complete leagues, i dont think this is too much to do, football manager games manage more depth than this. also d2 is annoying for me as if you want to make an EPL after 1 season 3 english teams get replaced by 3 non english teams. cant think of a way round this other than getting rid of d2 or creating second tier teams for all leagues.
proper songs as well would be good (bruce springsteen would be great

however... the stuff they surely cant do is completely realistic game play, its just not going to happen, its impossible. the game play is more realistic this year as you cant just sprint past 4 players down the wing and cross and score this year, you acctually have to get some pass and move going, however you can still take players on which is good. the gameplay is more realistic this year, however as someone pointed out in another thread, its less "gamey" which i guess does take away some fun for some people.
also, some of the ideas for new game modes are far fetched.
i think people are forgetting that this is a computer game and that computer games aren't as advanced as you think, especially as they only have a year to put a new game out, not take their time like gta (which still has imperfections like people walking past you then disappearing when you turn round) so no computer game is perfect and i think that people assume that more can be done than is acctually possible in the world of computer programming.
on a final note i played the new fifa the other day (dont want to turn this into a fifa debate). i havent played fifa since 2000 since i realised pro evo's game play is much better and fifas was very one dimensional (difficult mode took about 20 shots to score and there was only 1 or 2 ways to score, meanwhile the computer would score with every shot) and not much seems to have changed. its still easy to beat players and can only score a couple of ways (this is only a first opinion, i only played a couple of games). so anyway, compared to fifa pro evo seems to have good realistic game play, but like i said i dont want this to be a vs fifa debate.
